Recoil Therapy: They should have done the Eric Idle bit as the very last thing with a giant inflatable foot coming down on top of the stage to end it all.

No Olympics in the future would ever top that....

Nothing of any sort could ever top that.

E-Brake: Holy cow they cut out the Muse song? Huh.

Did they really?

2012-08-12 10:11:47 PM
Seacrest, Way to spoil the surprise that it was Eric Idle. You are supposed to wait until he takes the helmet off. That was supposed to be the joke. Then, if people (Americans/kids) don't know who it Eric Idle is, you tell them.

What do you wanna bet that the RIAA had a hand in it somehow?

Bungles: (the final act, post all the formal nonsense, is the best)

At this point, who says NBC is intending to air the remaining protocol?

Earguy: I bet we'll hear "shiat" on NBC in the next few years. Why not? We've seen it all week.

And here's the funny thing, what NBC is showing? Is the exact same camera angles and cuts everyone else saw earlier, just that they've edited some parts. That's right, they're not even providing different camera angles or anything.

geom_00: Donnchadha

I DOUBT I will be in the CFB threads this year due to my allegiance. However, I want to wish you the BEST of luck in your season, and the first game against my CFB team.

I wish I could have taken you up on the offer to get tickets, but I'm just starting a new job now (which was why I was rather hesitant) and not really in the position to take a weekend vacation to Pennsylvania so soon.

I should be in the Burgh for Thanksgiving though -- maybe we could get a beer or have that Pgh fark party that was rumored
