FeedTheCollapse: rudemix: Not sure if they are Hipster metal or not but if you haven't heard Red Fang or Tame ImpalaTame Impala are very obviously not metal. I don't even say that in a "\m/ Tröö METAL! \m/" way, they're just not metal in the least. They're psychedelic pop. I do like them, though I think they're a bit over-rated. Still looking forward to their new album. Melody's Echo Chamber was also produced by the guy from Tame Impala as well. Not familiar with Red Fang, though.
MoronLessOff: bhcompy: sotua: Ringshadow: Metal? Ohhhh *rubs hands together*My hot list:Opeth, Dream Theater, Iced Earth, Symphony X, Nightwish, Circus Maximus, Dream Evil, King Diamond, Orphaned Land, Lacuna Coil, UnSun, Nemesea, Dragonforce, Within Temptation, Avantasia.Probably I missed some. Don't feel like going and looking at the CD collection right now.Dragonforce is the Hannah Montana of metal. No, Dragonforce is the Spinal Tap of power metal. No, Dragon Force is one of the best games ever.
Kunks!: Mastodon's earlier albums are incredible, Blood Mountain and Leviathan are some of the most intense stuff I've heard. That being said, The Hunter was a real let down.
TheOriginalEd: The Sex Machineguns are the best metal band you never heard of.youtube link, pops, youre welcome.
Witchyman: Metal died with Peter Steele.
ZAZ: True metal sounds like metal even if you play it on the fruitiest of fruity Casio keyboardsFolk-rocker Al Stewart describes his song "Antarctica" as metal even when played on an acoustic guitar.
bhcompy: This guy/referenced guy is a cockfag. Edguy is boss. Yea, they rip off DLR Van Halen style, but who cares? It's for fun and it's great. 80s hair metal does not sound like metal on a Casio keyboard, but that's the point. It's Glam, not freaking Finntroll.
logistic: Mastadon owned my face in concert multiple times. Strangely enough, I have a weird mutation where I am able to like more than one genre. Isis, Faith no More, Queensryche, Pelican, Red Sparrows and Anthrax (a la Sound of White Noise) are all farking awesome.
