For the record, Ty Longley only joined Great White in 2000, well after the band's "heyday".. But kudos for the kid starting the charity.
/Saw GW at the Post Office (a club)in Augusta ,GA twice in the '90s,
a great venue. They still rocked then.

My cousin set up a similar charity in Lexington, KY. It kills me what these kids can accomplish at an age where I was lucky to get my shirt on right side out.

Attention Chicago Tribune: neither Great White nor Slaughter are "heavy metal". Hair metal? Sure. Heavy metal? There's nothing heavy about either band.
