Did you know that disco record sales were up 400% for the year ending 1976? If these trends continue... A-y-y-y!

I don't think I've heard a Bee Gees song in ten years. Even in an elevator.

Nostalgic middle-aged people with no taste? It's a growing market.

As TFA mentioned, it was $0.99 for the entire album, so I bet a lot of people probably bought it just for the lulz. I was actually pretty close to buying it just for the hell of it, like I did when Amazon had the Sinatra greatest hits collection for a buck last week.

The music industry is like wall st. You work your ass off building an empire, then some coke and whore come about. Next thing you know, you're on a slab and some kid's playing with your empire.

I was going to write something about the vapidity of culture and the death of pop music but then I come in here and see this and I don't know at all where the hell you're going here....

But I like it.

Underrated. they have some good farking songs.

Jive Talking
How Deep Is Your Love

People crap on them but in fact they're awesome.

Did you mean "Emotion"? That's a song Barry Gibb wrote for Samantha Sang. The brothers also did a version of it some years back.

the latest song I heard from them was "this is where I came in" all the way back in 2001/2002 ish. seems like forever ago.

/was a pretty catchy tune
// BARRY F*CKING GIBB!!!

Yeah, that's nice, but considering the top act on Billboard's all time greatest is Glee, that's not really saying much.

This will be great to listen to on my iPad while I ironically drink PBR while wearing my Mr. Bubble T shirt and Toms shoes.

Love that song!

Barry does rock! Very sad that he had to bury all 3 of his very talented younger brothers.

32,000 album copies sold at 99 cents amounts to only $ 31,680. And it's in the Top 5 at Billboard?
Wow! Sad state of music industry.

Amazon gets its cut. Does anyone know how much the artists actually make?

99-cent albums at Amazon are loss leaders. The artists get their full share regardless of the sale price.

The Bee Gees made some amazing music.

They also wrote and produced hit after hit for other performers. Absolute Midas touch.

Jesus God, that song is farking awesome. So sad to watch the video, though, and realize that Mo and Robin are gone. Barry got most of the attention but Mo was (arguably? Eh, maybe, maybe not) the best musician in the family, plus he was funny as shiat.
