TheZorker: I would, however, like more DC animated movies.

Really? I love superheroes. Been collecting comics for over 30 years.
I work in a comic book store.
I go to SDCC every year.
I even run a website called I Still Believe In Heroes.

That said, those DC cartoons put me to sleep every time. Even the latest Superman with the Elite, which I held as one of the greatest comic of all time took my two times to watch.

What a terribly inaccurate list. You would think for a movie website they would realize there's already been a Supergirl movie. shiatty fact checking on their part. Granted they may have mentioned that in the bullshiat slideshow, but I didn't read it. A Superboy movie would be fantastic. It'd be set in a world where Superman was "dead". Wonder Woman is DC's Top 3 and a movie about her would be wonderful. Aquaman, in the right hands, would be great as well. They could pull an evironmental spin on it if they wanted to go an easy route, but easy routes work. Hawkman I can sort of agree with, but that's just because not many people are familiar with him. Wasn't he a reincarnation or something of the sort? I could make that work. Martian Manhunter could work as well. This is probably the most horrible list I've seen, and it's really an embarassment for the webpage.

I scrolled through this entire f*cking thread hoping someone else would point out how badly Y: The Last Man needs to be made into a movie trilogy or miniseries.

Nothing? Really? You farkers.

I even have two of the leads picked out already:

Yorick

Beth Number 1

Beth Number 2 would be Yvonne Strahovsky.

Grumble, grumble. Link fail on my part, but I had Chris Gorham as Yorick and Anna Torv as Beth 1.

355 would absolutely have to be Jasika Nicole.

FirstNationalBastard: adamgreeney: FirstNationalBastard: tudorgurl: adamgreeney: Wonder Woman needs a movie. fark you.

repeated and THIS'd for emphasis!

There are a couple problems with Wonder Woman. First, there's never been a good, memorable Wonder Woman story. No, Kingdom Come or Sacrifice don't count. Second, every time someone tries to make a Wonder Woman live action project, it turns into this huge mess that doesn't know whether it wants to spout feminist jargon or show Wonder Woman as someone with the powers of a god but still can't find a good man.

Until WBDC gets it through their thick heads that people just want to see Wonder Woman kick ass (like Xena) and not identify with her romantic problems, there won't be a good Wonder Woman movie or TV show.

/so, twelfth of never.

So. You never read Wonder Woman huh? I can think of a number of good ones.

No one reads Wonder Woman. That's the whole point.

Superman, Batman, The Flash, Green Lantern... it isn't difficult to think of a memorable story for any of the characters.

Wonder Woman? Nothing. Just forgettable run after forgettable run. There's no Terminal Velocity or Rogue's War or No Man's Land or President Lex or Sinestro War for Wonder Woman.

So what? Comic book movies are made to get everyone to see them, not just the nerds. most people dont read comic books.

Call me when they do an Astro City movie-- Easily as epic as Avengers, but with 1/10th the licensing fees.

Also,Top 10 would be awesome, too, but the CGI costs for just having the main characters wandering around the city would bankrupt them.

I'm pretty sure they could make a Shazam! movie work. Superman is the most ripped-off character in comics anyway, and they're both owned by DC. It might work well as a kiddie movie - it's a fantasy about a bullied kid who can transform himself into a demi-god.

Friend of mine has a pic of an actor wearing the bolt across his shirt and he was dead-on as Captain Marvel. As in "spitting image" dead-on.

As far as Mary Marvel? Ellen Page. 'nuff said.

Cap Jr? Not sure.

What they need to make is a Justice League or Avengers movies where all the men wear nothing but Speedos and one article of clothing that helps identify them (boots, helmet, gloves, etc but nothing on the body or upper legs). They stay that way for the entire movie, and they should be sweaty a lot, give their bodies that natural gleam.

/also no digitally editing the movie to remove packages like they did with Superman Returns, everyone's endowments will be untouched... at least in that way

FirstNationalBastard: adamgreeney: Wonder Woman needs a movie. fark you.

And actually, a Power Pack movie? Never thought of it before, but hell yes. I'm in.

A Power Pack movie seems like a natural for Disney.

Really? Did you read any of the comic books back in the day? It's dark -Nolan's Batman was a walk in the park comparatively.

I'm waiting for Evangeline move. Or The Elementals. Or Mage. That would make my day. Awesome stuff there.
