Well, their staff will be somewhat inconvenienced. On the bright side, it will keep a bunch of toothless teabaggers busy for a while, and make them feel important.

What an asshole.

Really.

I dislike Obama like a lot of people, but attacking those who support him is a bit of a low blow.

Did they send it to Andrea Saul as well?

"Plus, new evidence implicates the Obama team and Priorities USA of possible criminal collusion in the ad (super PACs are not allowed by law to coordinate in any way with campaigns)," the note continues.

Since there is no coverage - even on Fox News - of anything of the sort, doesn't that constitutes libel?

Since they aren't saying it's true for sure, that there "just asking questions" so to speak, no.

Good thing Hollywood stars cannot afford the best lawyers around to sue for invasion of privacy, otherwise this group might be in some financial trouble in the near future.

I'd say that crosses over into fascism.

Marcus Aurelius: I would hope that Maher tapes the calls. There's got to be comedy gold there.

I doubt Maher is the one that actually answers the phone, and if he is he'll quickly start forwarding calls to someone for screening before it gets to him. But yeah, I hope these people take the opportunity to record some of these and make sure their fans are exposed to it. I can't imagine some toothless dumbshiat harassing Steven Speilberg would have a good impact on the GOP image. A lot of people practically worship that man, regardless of political affiliation.

I'm sure the steady stream of right wing death threats to Hollywood stars will convince the public that the republicans have not really become a party of extremists.

We're talking about the same sort of people who advocate firing anyone who votes or contributes to Obama and vow to drive their businesses into the ground as long as he's in office.

andersoncouncil42: These idiots probably think it's free speech to dial stolen private numbers and harass people.

It's more stupid then that. These are the phone numbers of their managers/talent agents offices. Not really sure what they think this will accomplish besides make themselves look like dongs.

So in about 2 weeks we will get a thread listing the 10 most retarded callers and what they said which will again confirm the idea that the GOP is the party of crazy and hate or at least number 1 with crazy and hate.

Yes, because angering the rich and influential won't result in them having more resolve to donate more money to the PAC you oppose.

It's a smart move if you were running the PAC and things were looking apathetic.

But they're not.

I'm sure the rich people won't be annoyed in any way. Surely not enough to donate more time and money to obamas reelection.

Also, I'd love for them to look in to the connections of candidates and super-pacs. It's not like Karl Rove was just at a massive Romney supporter get together.

According to his own article...

Gilchrist said that while "there was no specific threat, to me, it's harassment."

The guy got a couple of prank calls and some trolling e-mails but it's exactly the same thing.

2012-08-11 02:24:22 PM
Actually, this is pretty damn funny.

This is all based off of the "You didn't build that" Right wing lie.

Romney Rep responds with:
"This is the same kind of Chicago-style politics that the Obama political machine has repeatedly used to push the President's liberal agenda and intimidate anybody who disagrees with his failed policies," said Williams.

Guy in video:
Gilchrist is featured in Romney television and web ads accusing Obama of "demonizing" him and small business owners by saying earlier this month that "somebody along the line gave you some help," and, "If you've got a business, you didn't build that. Somebody else made that happen."

"My father's hands didn't build this company?" Gilchrist asks in the television ad. "My hands didn't build this company? Through hard work and a little bit of luck, we built this business. Why are you (Obama) demonizing us for it?"

FTA:
Gilchrist also said in the report that in the 1980s, he received a loan of "somewhere south of" $500,000 through the U.S. Small Business Administration. He also received some assistance from a federally-funded agency and a few defense-related contracts, he said.

Sorry pal, the half a Million dollars you got from the United States Government that is funded by United States Citizens tax dollars is not "a little bit of luck".

So in short, NO, you DID NOT build it own your own.

P.S. When you are generating revenue from United States Military Defense contracts you might not want to attack the United States Military's highest ranking individual, the Commander in Chief. Mmmkay Socialist boy?

Sounds like he's got real thin skin and needs some industrial grade boot straps.

Headline if a left wing group had done this to right wing elites like Limbaugh, Hannity, and Beck.

Amusing: Group sends email to members with phone numbers of big name conservatives like Limbaugh, Hannity, and Beck

Comments would go something like... "These lying hate mongers brought this on themselves!"
