Well if they take the 405 they might as well get on Sepulveda.

Whichever they decide on, they lose.

Just take the Sepulveda pass. It's a pain to drive along, it's always still crowded anyways, but it's an alternative route dammit!

May as well take Century Blvd to Vermont than to try the 105 to the 110. Plus I don't think you can fit a space shuttle through either the MLK or Expo Blvd exit underpasses.

Only downside: May end up with a few extra bullet holes in the sides.

*Figueroa, not Vermont.

2mph in L.A.? Did they have a police escort or something?

/Never heard of such speeds in L.A.

Once again, the LAPD is asking Los Angelenos not to fire their guns at the visitor spacecraft.

Man, I got out of SoCal just in time. I think this is the third major planned transportation incident since I left. First, they took down a bridge, then they moved a rock, now this. You'd think they'd spread it around a bit.

Fourth, they're taking down another bridge in September. Carmagganticlimax 2.

Don't be silly. Nobody walks in L.A.

That is not very realistic. They could never reach those sorts of speeds on LA roads.

All I have to do is walk a mile downhill to watch that thing try to take that turn at MLK and Crenshaw.

I was so looking forward to that until I read "...the shuttle will stop at Inglewood City Hall and again at the intersection of Crenshaw and MLK, where a performance produced by actress and choreographer Debbie Allen will take place."

Now I have ambivalence.

At that speed, on 405 they won't disrupt traffic.

2012-08-11 06:33:17 PM
They should just take the 5 if they're going at 2 MPH.

I don't see why Texans are so butthurt about not getting a Shuttle. The whole state got Columbia, didn't it?
