I always wondered if out there somewhere in some prison was the most dedicated hardcore Ad&D group ever formed. Like 5-10 guys with one hardcore dungeon master and some smuggled in books and some dice playing campaigns daily that go on for years if not decades. We did something similar in MCRD san diego back in 92, hardest part was the dice we had to make. The rules we all had memorized, was about 8 of us sneaking playtime in every few days when the D.I''s were off farking around and not paying attention.

D&D groups can get pretty dedicated.

AllUpInYa: He really turned himself around, to be able to participate in the rodeo .... only to be gored and die an agonizing death.

D&D was better than television once.

Employing the mind meant something.

Now the mind is employed, not employing...

TV sucks. Tubes suck. Connectivity sucks. No mind.

Employ mind.

"you walk into a dimly lit room with warm water raining down, you see a cube shape object on the floor, you bend over to pick it up, and you are penetrated by the 20 inch black penile sword of pain."

They don't need to smuggle them in, at least some places. We had a guy come in and apply for a job just covered in prison tats. He's just got out after 8 years in prison and was telling me about watching cartoons and playing D&D in the joint. Apparently he had to kick some asses because watching Naruto kind of made people look at him funny.

Magic: the Gathering. And even in prison people complain about the guy who buys all the good cards.
