Why on earth would they need to be warning their party members about strip clubs? The warnings should focus around public restrooms, rest stops, and local craigslist etiquette.

"To lure customers in, Thee Dollhouse is bringing in Lisa Ann, a Sarah Palin impersonator who is also an adult film star."

Well, you saw *that* one coming. I'm surprised that each club doesn't hire a Palin imitator.

"Another club is having look-alike contests of famous politicians while Scarlett's in Ybor City is telling potential customers in its advertisements to come 'Party Like a Liberal.'"

IPAs are a blight on the craft brew industry.

Hops were intended to preserve the beer for long trips at sea, not to make it so bitter that it wants to take away teachers' health care benefits.

Here here!

Some IPAs are ok. Others are a mess of grapefruit bitterness.

Thankfully, a local brewery has heard our pleas and is going to have other styles of beer available. If they can brew a good brown ale or even better, a beautiful stout or porter, I will be very, very happy.

Actually a few of the breweries do have good "other" beer. I had a high gravity Imperial Stout the other day that was very, very refreshing.

For the same reason this isn't taking place in Vegas.

Government functions should be held in Las Vegas, but they're not. Once some brain-damaged news media retard found out the CIA had a convention in a Vegas hotel, and ran a report about it, complaining about overspending of taxpayer money. This caused huge backlash, and so they can't hold government functions in Vegas anymore.

Vegas is the cheapest place for this shiat. Renting a hotel room, a convention hall, etc, is extremely cheap. Food is cheap. They want you gambling. Taxpayers just saw "HUGE LUXURY HOTELS IN SHINY LAS VEGAS! OOOH MUST BE EXPENSIVE!" and didn't care that it's very much NOT expensive.

Imagine finding senators in stripper clubs. "Look! Your representatives are at a government function, and spending your TAX MONEY on lap dances!" ... are you sure it's my tax money and not their salary?

As a conservative homebrewer, I concur. There's something big-dickish about bitter beers these days like Arrogant Bastard and such. It must be an undrinkable 200 IBU or you're drinking pussy light beer.

Myself, I love British styles. Light, well-balanced pub ales at 1.037 or 1.041 OG are nice. That's another modern trend: People love their big beers, their high gravity shiat. Check it out, 1.110 OG, beer came out like 13% ABV! Silly 2.5% pussy shiat beer lol....

So here I am, on my fifth beer, kind of buzzed. That dude almost finished his second tankard, but he blacked out, then started vomiting in his sleep. Guess which socially inept introvert is bein' all suave with the ladies tonight?

I'll be brewing this this weekend, but I'm more fond of the basic British bitter kit. Don't have all-grain equipment, or the skill to make a better brew out of it; it'd take me a few hundred bottles to get there.

I think Obama is the less approving really. He went out to have a beer, went to a bar and asked for "Something normal" because he didn't want one of those weird "Designer beers"

http://wonkette.com/379493/barack-obama-is-elitist-drunk-too

(Hilarious headline)

As far as I understand, Obama is a wine drinker. This may have been his first beer, or one of very few beers in his life. It was a publicity stunt to make an impression. It's generally accepted that he drinks beer in public to keep up images; however, as images go, he's doing a good job of it:

http://blogs.ajc.com/news-to-me/2011/03/04/obama-first-to-brew-beer-i n -white-house/

Apparently brewing decent beer in the White House.

Also, instead of watermelon, apparently the negros in the white house are growing HONEY BEES, and the honey for that honey ale came from his wife's bee hive! What?!

They're better at keeping up appearances than The Clintons. Though, a man of disagreeable virtues isn't necessarily a man of no virtues: it's entirely possible for Obama to be a lying, manipulative, self-important socialist with almost no understanding of anything he's swinging a big axe at (like, say, ECONOMICS?) and still be good at something, and even a decent family man. We have a president who was afraid of microbrews and "designer beer" a couple years ago who now not only drinks beer when he's in public to keep the image up, but has learned how to make the stuff decent enough to serve to guests. This goes beyond making shiat up and even beyond your garden variety posturing; the man becomes the image he's trying to portray, that's very impressive.

hrrrmmphh. I love Arrogant Bastard. You not liking it doesn't make it bad beer. I like many bitter beers if they're well made. Actually Arrogant Bastard is less bitter than pretty much every imperial IPA, a style that I also enjoy. Stone Ruination is a great example.

It must be an undrinkable 200 IBU or you're drinking pussy light beer.

Almost nothing is 200 IBUs. There are a few and it's kind of silly. The human palate can't detect more than 100 or so.

So here I am, on my fifth beer, kind of buzzed. That dude almost finished his second tankard, but he blacked out, then started vomiting in his sleep. Guess which socially inept introvert is bein' all suave with the ladies tonight?

It's not a contest of how many beers you can drink. Sometimes people like to sip a really good, strong, intensely flavorful brew. If they down several quick pints in a row of that type of beer, they probably deserve whatever happens to them. You prefer something lighter so you can have a few pints. That's nice. Personal preference.
