Always thought Napolitano was Obama's worse appointee ever. Tom Ridge would have been a better choice.

Personally, I thought she was a great governor. She refused to sign any budget that made cuts to education, and she worked her ass off for health care, child protection, and education. Her departure paved the way for Governor Cryptkeeper, and Obama can kiss my ass for that one.

I have know nothing about her as a Governor but she sucks as the head of DHS. Maybe she should have been put in charge of education instead or left as Governor as you said.

A disgruntled ex-employee is holding a grudge and saying negative things about his former employer? This has never happened before.

*yawn*

A former prosecutor, she also paved the way for spy cameras on freeways, and wanted spy cameras at the borders, but I do agree, she would have done less damage here as governor than as head of DHS.

The thing about changes in administrations is it leaves a lot of the former administration's employees in vulnerable positions. When the inevitable happens, they whine and file lawsuits.

That said, I think I could find a way to work for Suzanne Barr.

FTFA: Barr's alleged acts include calling one man "in his hotel room and screaming at him that she wanted his 'c--k in the back of [her] throat.' "

I'd like to note that the "one man" in this anecdote isn't the one filing the lawsuit.

Tom Ridge had the unfortunate task of being the head of a new Frankenstein agency - parts pulled from other Departments and crammed together. Each had their own way of doing things, their own culture and basically viewed everyone else as their competition. Plus there were parts started from the ground up (all the R&D stuff). The fact that DHS did anything in their first 2 years was amazing.

That said, I'm not completely surprised, but want more evidence. There are managers that seek to promote based on their own preferences. We had a lab director here who thought it was her job to promote women to management. To the point where at least one female researcher left rather than be forced into management (researchers are funny that way - they want to do work instead of ordering other people to do it). It happens both in public and private sector (CEO promotes frat brothers or golf buddies over minorities, etc.)

Because if anything says subtle implication, it's the NY Post and Debbie Schlussel.

Thanks to a DHS FOIA attorney actually following the law for once I once got to read a string of e-mails from a relatively senior official whining in a e-mail to his buddies how awful and "immoral" it was that the new DHS boss was gay (inresponse to an e-mail about the department honoring gay pride month). This was about three e-mails away from the one he sent his mistress scheming with her about how to keep their affair ongoing but secret from her husband who was returning home unexpectedly after being wounded in Afghanistan

How does one, as a state, go from Napolitano to Brewer anyhow?

The 119th Amendment to Arizona's Constitution requires the governor to be of a bizarre appearance.

Another example of Obama administration people being accused of incredibly inappropriate borderline illegal activities? Stuff that no one in their right mind would do and yet, if true, would completely validate conservative suspicions about liberal treason and perfidy? Can't imagine where that might come from.

Looks like he's still an employee. Which is good news for him, since while discrimination and harassment claims are tough to corroborate and prove, any retaliation is money in the bank.

In one instance he is accusing of Napolitano of nepotism to her secret lesbian lovers, in the next he is saying the lesbos are sexually harrassing and want to perform sexual acts on their male underlings. That is inconsistent. If any of that was going on, he would have a huge cache of evidence.

If I'm reading this right, there's 3 total people talked about. Barr is alleged to have sexually harassed a male. Napolitano and Schriro are the alleged lesbians.
