palelizard: This is a ruse. It allows for obvious gatherings of military forces of both nations in the Sea of Japan, though they'll mostly just 'jockey' for position. The US will activate the 7th fleet to 'calm things', and when all three navies are in position, spearhead an assault on NK around early October (possibly September). With NK's military crippled, China will send in the ground forces under the banner of 'protecting their borders'. The Triad forces (SK, USA, Japan) will withdraw, China will sieze NK's nuclear capabilities and shut them down (since they don't need them). The NK government will be deposed, most killed 'in the fighting', though a few will be arrested for crimes against humanity when the true squalor of NK becomes public knowledge.

Why would China agree to take on the burden of the NK citizens to get them back on their feet? Because China will build NK from the ground up with the latest in technology from the very beginning, and populate it Chinese citizens. NK is on the verge of collapse, which would send too many refugees across the border (the fence can't stop them all). By moving in early, China controls the situation, keeping the refus on the NK side and out of main China, SK and Japan have an unstable enemy removed, and the US President gets a swift and decisive victory just before an election. Further trade arrangements with the US and aid packages previously to NK continuing mean it's an economic viability for China to act as such, especially with the idea of repopulating NK with Chinese males to interbreed with NK females and building a technological juggernaught over the next twenty to thirty years. This, along with the losses to ground forces during the invasion proper, will aid China in their gender disparity by eliminating eligible men or finding them external mates.

Everyone wins except the males and elites of NK, and the elites, well, they caused this and will get what they deserve.

Yes, I agree with everything you said except - you forgot to mention where they will get all the minerals for the additional pylons.

It also says no FARKING aircraft carriers - which is why they classed the Hyūga as a helicopter 'destroyer' and not a helicopter 'carrier' but it is not only a helicopter carrier, but is actually capable of carrying and launching the navy version of the Joint Strike Fighter: http://www.globalsecurity.org/military/world/japan/ddh-x.htm

I still say Joint Strike Fighter sounds more like a high-strength cannabis cigarette that a plane though.
