Brian Blessed's Bastard Boy: Marshall ferrets are like a company that deals in ferrets. they're them, but alsomake sure they are fixed before being sold. the tattoo marks them, and ensures the buyer that they aren't feral. Once ferrets became popular, Marshall worked hard to make sure to people were informed about how to properly care for them and learn about them. A lot if the supplies you by come from Marshall.

Most ferrets that are for sale in pet shops are Marshall ferrets, which means that most ferrets available through a ferret rescue organization are also Marshall ferrets. Our first ferret was purchased at a small privately owned pet shop but was bred by a private ferret breeder who was trying to breed to better the ferret. He was also the person who bred the snakes that they sold. Our other 2 ferrets were both from a local ferret rescue group here in St Louis. Both of them were Marshall Ferrets.

Munk, short for MunkMunk, was the privately bred ferret and although she did die from adrenal disease, she also lived the longest. She was just a few weeks shy of 9 when she passed away. Our other 2 ferrets, Squeakers (seen in the video) and Snowy (Snowball), both passed away at the age of 7.

Munk and Squeakers with their rice box (pops...like a weasel)

/Munk was bred for hunting and was not dog or cat friendly and would bite to draw blood. Therefore, the cats and dogs were deathly afraid of her. Therefore, the ferrets had their own room to romp in.
//Munk didn't like mens hands either. She would aggressively attack and draw blood if a man got his hands too close but would kiss Mr CDK's face .
///We think that something happened to her while at the pet shop, maybe teased in the cage by a man or something

Ah, yes. The wonderful box full of rice. All of ours go nuts when we break that out. All the ferrets are good with the humans. Salsa and Guacamole, sisters that we bought at a small pet store, are the only two who get nippy every once in a while, but that's only with bare feet. Junior Mint is still only 5 months old, but easily the biggest ferret we have. Still a ball of energy and loves to rough house with the others, but besides the sisters and the two males, the rest just stay away from him. The wife and I got the first two for the kids when I had to go on back to back deployments overseas and the kids took it really hard. So the old, look, something shiny and new, worked pretty well. We did lose one to adrenal gland, but she was one of our first, and we are pretty sure she was not cared for very well. The wife got the sisters next to make sure Gnocchi didn't die from grief. After that, she just seemed to be bringing home a ferret once a month. I think they're great pets, but the wife is just enamored with them. These are her babies, and even the cats take a back seat. They're great with the kids, and so far, we haven't had any issues with aggressiveness with the newest addition. She's a chocolate like the sisters and as of today, she's only 8 oz. I thought she was maybe 14 oz, but I am terrible at guessing weight. She's an extremely fast ferret but she's only 5 weeks old and when she's tired, she's down in a matter of seconds. I'm hoping she gets some size to her before the wife comes home from the hospital, because Junior was that little when we got him, and a month and a half later he's 5 lbs and over two feet long.

Meanwhile, back in the sherpa household, Dragon is not speaking to me. I got a sorta dirty look when I called the vet to get a refill on his thyroid medication, but when he heard me make an appointment for his checkup/blood test I swear I got the serious stink-eye and he has refused to acknowledge me since then. I figure his attitude will last until a) I have something for dinner that he wants, or b) It's time for breakfast.
