yobbery and AllMyKidsHaveFur Happy Anniversary! Hubby and I just celebrated our 25th this last Wednesday. But we went out last night for our Anniversary Dinner. Easier to do it on the weekend. Congrats again. I hope your marriage is as beautiful as your cat pictures! :)

**snippity**

Wife is still in the coma. Her vitals are good, but the CSF level is not yet where the docs want it. She was put back in the coma to avoid any possible brain damage that might have been caused by the low CSF level, and to give her body more time to recover. Au Jus got her first bath, and it didn't enjoy it at all. She's done OK with the others so far, but have to keep an eye on Junior Mint because he's a little rough with everyone. Not to mention he's about two feet long and five pounds. Peirogi has pretty much left her alone so far, because I think he has a blood feud going on with Junior Mint and they were too busy fighting each other. As for Waffles, it's hard to tell with her. It's been over a month since we had to put Lollipop asleep, and I don't think she's recovered from that yet. But she is older and never was one for affection anyway.

:( It's understandable why they want her in a coma, but it must be incredibly hard to deal with. Have you told her about Au Jus yet? I'll bet she'll love hearing about all the shenanigans that happen between Au Jus and the other critters! Have they allowed the kids to go see her again since she's been back in the coma? Even more **hugs** headed your way along with lots of healing thoughts and prayers. I'm glad your new fuzzy friend is mostly getting along with everyone, even if she's not so sure about water yet :) Maybe that'll be a reason for her and the cats to get along better... hehe :)

Kids got to spend some time with her before they put her back in. She had lots of memory and speech problems, which is why she went back in the coma. They're both up in Ohio with my dad for maybe a week because Friday morning my step-father passed away in his sleep from a heart attack. They decided on their own to go up there and help grandma because it's what mom would have wanted. So I'm flying solo right now. Spending today around the house cleaning and keeping an eye on all the animals in the house. Never realized how much of a pain it is to take care of 10 ferrets, 2 cats, 2 bearded dragons, and a turtle. Need to decompress a little as well with everything that has happened. Was getting close to getting burned out, and just need some me time right now. Nurses call every morning and night just to keep me informed when I'm not there, and with her in the coma, it gives me some time to relax a little. I'll be there tomorrow morning for some meetings with the docs and meetings with some therapists as well. Not sure when I'll tell her about Au Jus though. Might want to keep it a secret, but we'll see how well she's doing when she comes out of it.

Sorry, forgot to mention that. Kids asked about it and I explained to them you made it, but my son wanted to know who would name someone Tigerose. Took a couple of minutes, but he finally understood.

As soon as I remembered, I gave him hell!

Actually we kind of forget it most years, not sure why. (Isn't that awful?) It just sort of sneaks up on us but it is today, not yesterday so it's not late after all.

Now I'm back to trying to catch up, I've got about 400 posts to go.

Finally Back! After after-lunch sing (went quite well) & chorus picnic, which we didn't make escape from as soon as we might've.
One reason was the still quite young malti-poo Yoda, of whom I haven't a pic (sri). He's a cute little guy, about the colour of al's hat's Nutmeg, who loves to groom folks' hands. Unfortunately has reddish spots under his eyes on the fur; is that normal?
bessyglass was on quite a roll; won't call her a hot dog either but will thank her for alla those cute pix, as well as captain feedback for not as many. valnt9, do b'lieve I've the insulin vials, both ProZinc (vet) & NovoLog (human, both recombinant DNA),
BBBB, tnx for update on your Lady Wife; rather think she will appreciate Au Jus when They let her out. Missed if you said AJ was a him, her or neutered?

Salem Witch fetched this in some time Ago, I retained as suitable for anniv without caption. So this one is for AllMyKidsHaveFur, yobbery & the tigeroses.,

Au Jus is a her. That makes three males and seven females. Add all the females together and they get close to equalling the males weight, but not by much. Hard to keep Peirogi away from her right now. He finally realized there's a new ferret in the house and thinks it will play rough like all the others.

You're not crazy. They all have scent glands, but all of our ferrets are Marshall ferrets. They automatically are de-scented and fixed. They all have small tattoo marks on their ears to represent they are from Marshall.
Laulaja, she is a chocolate ferret. Her coloring is very light right now, but should darken as she gets older. We have three black sables (Chimichanga, Brownie, and Habanero), one silver (Junior Mint), three chocolates (Salsa, Guacamole, and Au Jus), one full albino (Muenster), one black eyed white (Gnocchi), and one sable (Root Beer). Some of them have the Siamese pattern to their fur, but most of the time it's really hard to tell because they seem to change colors subtly every other week.

In my family we have a "set" of areas we call the " gap-osis" those funky spaces at the back of the arms, the slice of skin exposed when you bend over to weed the flower beds. All prone to burns...ears and neck included..and then we will talk about down the front of the suit burns...been there done that! No face palm needed, we all have our " burning tales"....

Ferrets may also change colours subtly with current lighting conditions, as some felines seem to.

Which it is. I need to rise bright & early, may set clock even earlier for Perseids. Realise that :30 after I sign off for the evening, The Puce Guardian may very well make his customary appearance. Can see his exquisite work in the daylight.
Keep meaning to make the observation, which everyone's likely made: notice how we no longer get scolded for using the "Back" arrow or button, esp after posting? That used to be all the time! Am personally glad this no longer happens.

The calm before the storm.

Dinky's back for another week of fun.
I've found out that he hates water as much as the cats do, therefore the Squirt Bottle of Justice is being used on an hourly basis. Seems to do the trick.
Peed just beside the cat box (for Samson, who told him not to use his box), and only Dog knows where he's going to place his usual ration of Dinkytots.
Goes outside to play, comes back in to shiat.
