david_gaithersburg: With such bigotry in the opening I could not be bothered with reading the nonsense.
LordJiro: Waaaait, are you telling me that the Maricopa police may actually be racist farkwits?
kapaso: luktti: pxlboy: It's the scared-ass bluehairs who keep voting assholes like Joe in office.Do not care for sheriff Joe. But the illegals are getting way out of hand.So then start jailing the employers like we do everybody else and the problem will go away.
sendtodave: sumida sublight: That's the real beauty of the situation: once the cop accuses you, demonstrating your innocence becomes a crime.Dicks with power can ruin lives. And yet, people don't seem to be clamoring for police reforms.I guess we like giving power to dicks.
Lunaville: pippi longstocking: You don't hear this much in the public arena, but this is what happens when you privatize the penal system. This is why we have the largest incarceration rate per capita in the world. Why the hell do we need to have private prisons? They are just monopsonies riddled with greed and corruption. The level of corruption is really quite impressive, I sincerely believe that if prisons were publicly owned this whole stupid system would reform practically overnight, no more putting people in jail for smoking a joint, parking tickets, etc...I can't imagine what ever made any American think that locking people up; depriving citizens of their freedom for profit was a good idea. Are there really that many people in this country that long for a return to slavery? Or are we just a truly stupid nation?
nburghmatt: DNRTFARape Murderson?
Britney Spear's Speculum: This is bad bureaucracy mixed with prejudice. I wonder how many of these stories where a real illegal was involved and then deported that we don't hear about. What was she originally arrested for?
Tom_Slick: I hope she can sue for false imprisonment and bankrupt that county.
NephilimNexus: I stopped reading at "Arizona."[www.holocaustresearchproject.org image 460x345]
Attention, wingnut trolls:***THIS*** IS AN EXAMPLE OF EVIL BIG GOVERNMENT.
CrispFlows: Dinjiin: Nadie_AZ: See that map? Yeah, the one of the Mexican American war? The one America started in the 1840s? See that spot where I live? Where the Gila river is? Yeah, that's Phoenix. Guess what country that was in the middle of? Mexico. Mexico owned that land for 20 years. Before that? Spain. For hundreds of years. Spanish owned, bred and settled. And when the United States annexed that land from Mexico, there were only around 80,000 non-Indian citizens residing there. That's half the population of Tempe spread over 500,000+ square miles. So sure, Mexico may have had territorial claims on the land. But it was mostly uninhabited. And after the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo was signed, the vast majority of Mexican nationals living in the area renounced their Mexican citizenship and stayed to become US citizens. But that's all moot. One of the benefits of defeating an enemy is that you get to enjoy the spoils of the war. So once the US purchased the land at gunpoint, they were the ones who could dictate the rules. And the rules today say that you have to abide by US immigration law. If the Mexican people have a problem with that, they are free to request that their government declare war against the US and forcibly reclaim the land for themselves. Until that happens, they can all drink a frosty mug of STFU.Read that underlined sentence you wrote then read the fark headline and the linked article the headline refers to.You see the problem yet?The name has nothing to do with legal status, the skin color has nothing to do with legal status nor does anything else except the legal status itself! If Arizona wishes to concern itself with illegal immigrants, it's best for them to be able to tell the difference between the descendants of those that has lived on the land since the treaty and the illegal immigrants themselves - besides, this entire problem would be most easily enforced by fining the businesses that hires illegal immigrants, which is already r ...
svenge: The underlying statute is sound, as on average illegal immigrants aren't exactly likely to make court appearances or respect the law to begin with. Their mere presence here affirms that. However, the county really screwed the pooch on this one. If you are going to incarcerate someone for being an illegal immigrant, you'd better make sure that you're right and do some due diligence lest you look like idiots and end up liable for $$$.
grunthos: Nadie_AZ: I *hate* americans who think 'oh we are white, we were the first ones on this land, derp derp derp' as if they colonized the f*cking moon.Uh.....Americans DID colonize the f*cking moon. Ok, with only a few guys, who all came back, but we left our flag and other shiat there, so that means it's ours..

Lunaville: Exactly. I just love (note sarcasm) that I am expected to put together an identification kit for my child/children to carry with them at all times in case one of them, while not in my company, happens to be asked by a police officer to prove citizenship. I wonder if Mr. Statute-is-sound realizes that in absence of such ID, which white children do not have to carry, my child/children could be detained until I can arrive with appropriate documents?
Dokushin: USA was, of course, the only country in the history of the world to ever take territory. Just ask the Aztecs.

Mr.Man: pxlboy: kapaso: poe_zlaw:And apparently the snowbirds are allowed to vote on things that affect the rest of the state year-round.Brilliant.Yeah! Those snowbirds are nothing but racist bastards.Get your head out of your ass, your face is suppose to brown by a tan,not feces
pxlboy: kapaso: luktti: kapaso: Arizona wasn't this hateful until all your parents started coming here for the winterArizona wasn;t that hateful until the illegals started crossing the border in droves.Give me a break I lived in the Sonoran desert for 12 years. They have been crossing the border in droves for as long as I can remember. They came, they worked and eventually became citizens if they were decent and worked hard. The fact you think it just started recently means you don't know shiat.Or that you got trolled...either are likely
poe_zlaw: and why do brown people continue to live there?
