Nadie_AZ: What of New Mexico?
grunthos: Uh.....Americans DID colonize the f*cking moon. Ok, with only a few guys, who all came back, but we left our flag and other shiat there, so that means it's ours.
grunthos: Nadie_AZ: I *hate* americans who think 'oh we are white, we were the first ones on this land, derp derp derp' as if they colonized the f*cking moon.Uh.....Americans DID colonize the f*cking moon. Ok, with only a few guys, who all came back, but we left our flag and other shiat there, so that means it's ours..
TheJoe03: Nadie_AZ: What of New Mexico?I said outside the SW excluding Arizona, so that means Mexicans are fine in NM, Texas, and California. I personally love NM, some weird mix of California and Texas.
Britney Spear's Speculum: This is bad bureaucracy mixed with prejudice. I wonder how many of these stories where a real illegal was involved and then deported that we don't hear about. What was she originally arrested for?
grunthos: Wait wait wait! I just noticed this;Nadie_AZ 2012-08-09 10:44:02 PM"Yes, the spanish were white. But because they failed to bring white women, the men settled for the hot latina ..."NOBODY "settles" for a hot latina... you lay awake at night dreaming of landing a hot latina, anything else is what you "settle" for!

Nadie_AZ: I hate white idiots who think that the Olmec, the Toltec, the Teotihuacan, the Zapotec, the Maya and the Aztec Mexican tribes from MEXICO that only lived in MEXICO lived alongside native American Apache, Comanche, Havasupai, Hopi, Jemez, Kiowa, Kiowa Apache, Mohave, Navaho, Pima, Pueblo, Shoshoni, Ute, Walapai, Yuma, Zunitribes here in AMERICA. they didn't. Mexico got the territory that we now occupy FROM SPAIN and the conquistadors when it was a SPANISH COLONY, not from mexican indians colonizing california and nevada. they would have got their ass kicked for goodness sake.Yes we did take this land called America from indigenous people, but they weren't f*cking mexicans.Didya see the map? Who had claim the the land? Of course the yaqui, o'ohdam, hopi, pima, zuni, maricopa, yuma, pai and other peoples weren't part of central mexico. I never argued that. I argued that the country of mexico ruled over the lands that Americans now claim as their own (and it is- they conquered it). My issue is the idea that somehow these brown people decided to invade the country- when a lot of them had already been here when it was conquered.
david_gaithersburg: With such bigotry in the opening I could not be bothered with reading the nonsense.
thisisyourbrainonFark: God, what a depressing story. I'm going to cheer myself up with a hot ASU cheerleader.[i.cdn.turner.com image 298x423]/Tempe native//Sad about the utter ignorance that pervades my home state.
sumida sublight: Britney Spear's Speculum: This is bad bureaucracy mixed with prejudice. I wonder how many of these stories where a real illegal was involved and then deported that we don't hear about. What was she originally arrested for?She showed her valid driver's license to a cop. The cop didn't believe the name on it was really hers, so arrested her for forgery. That's the real beauty of the situation: once the cop accuses you, demonstrating your innocence becomes a crime.
sendtodave: sumida sublight: That's the real beauty of the situation: once the cop accuses you, demonstrating your innocence becomes a crime.Dicks with power can ruin lives. And yet, people don't seem to be clamoring for police reforms.I guess we like giving power to dicks.
relcec: you are full of shiat and do not know your history nearly as well as you think. you are essentially aping the ridiculous Reconquista argument of la raza, that this land was aztec land and belongs to them.this land here has never been their home. you are a useful idiot.
TheJoe03: Rockstone: Solution: Leave Arizona, go anywhere else... Except Texas.Lol, you're a dumbass. Texas is almost majority Mexican and has a very deep rooted Mexican culture (a culture and hitory the morons in Arizona don't seem to acknowledge), they are called Tejanos. I'd rather be Mexican in Texas than anywhere outside of the southwest (excluding the shiat heads in Zona of course).
No Such Agency: Well... I'm guessing she'll be able to buy a new house and car once this is all settled.Maricopa County sounds like it needs to have G-Men descend on it like locusts and arrest everyone above the rank of assistant dogcatcher. Sheriff whatshisname himself is probably a felon a hundred times over by now. Christ, for all we know he's having people murdered and buried in the desert.
jayhawk88: Salvatierra, a well-known immigration attorney, along with the aid of criminal attorney Antonio Bustamante and Johnny Sinodis, a counsel in Salvatierra's office, went to battle on Torres' behalf.YOU SEE! This is what happens when you let illegals attend school and get jobs and drivers licenses and such! They all use their lawyer degrees (that they got tax free no doubt) and help yet another illegal beat the system! And this judge, Carolyn Passamonte? ANOTHER ILLEGAL! And who's this Frank Kafka they're talking about, what country is he from?Wait...article written by Stephen Lemons? Clearly a pseudonym for Stephan Le'Mones...AN ILLEGAL FRENCHIE! They're infiltrated the media too!Who are all you people, by the way? Dinjiin? kapaso? BIGLUCA???? Oh God, I'm surrounded!
Rockstone: And yet Texans have had the most cases of wrongfully applied death penalties. And alot of other stuff.
NutWrench: Detective Chris Oberly of the Arizona Department of Transportation's Office of the Inspector General should be in a farking jail cell.
xen0blue: how this is paraded around as 'hate' is beyond dumb
skinink: John Jacob Jingleheimer Schmidt, his name is my name too.
Dante87336: My prediction? This is the court case that was needed to strike down the one statute that got away from the Supreme Court when they judged Arizona. Well, I hope that for the woman's sake, that it will be a speedy and clean trial. But it is a possibility.
TheJoe03: Rockstone: And yet Texans have had the most cases of wrongfully applied death penalties. And alot of other stuff.I never said TX was perfect, it's why I live in the Bay Area, but Texas is diverse and isn't known for being anti-Mexican, especially compared to Arizona and anywhere in the SE (not too sure about the situation in Florida). I also think it's more open to Mexicans than any of the lily white places in the north.
Tom_Slick: I hope she can sue for false imprisonment and bankrupt that county.
xen0blue: this woman clearly wasn't illegal. they should've done their homework.however, I think the law is sound. if you're illegal, you should be deported. simple.how this is paraded around as 'hate' is beyond dumb
svenge: The underlying statute is sound, as on average illegal immigrants aren't exactly likely to make court appearances or respect the law to begin with. Their mere presence here affirms that. However, the county really screwed the pooch on this one. If you are going to incarcerate someone for being an illegal immigrant, you'd better make sure that you're right and do some due diligence lest you look like idiots and end up liable for $$$.
FormlessOne: I'm still puzzled - why is Oberly not in jail pending a perjury investigation? Why is someone in the MCAO not in front of news cameras, providing a heartfelt apology to this woman for essentially destroying her life? No house, no job, separated from her family for months, and for what? It's clear here that somebody lied, and that the only person who didn't actually lie to authorities is the person who was arrested and accused of lying to authorities. Why is it that it took four and a half months for someone to get off their damned asses and confirm a few pieces of paperwork?
kidsizedcoffin: loonatic112358: after the suing, i do hope she considers movingBack to Mexico? Well, at least you were polite about it./sarcasm
KimNorth: Is she the one who had been arrested using different names and when she had someone come to the jail with her I.D. they thought it was fake as it did not match the others names she had given that were matched to prints or something?? I was confused, not so confused it would take me 4 months to figure it out but if this is the same lady she started it.....
pippi longstocking: You don't hear this much in the public arena, but this is what happens when you privatize the penal system. This is why we have the largest incarceration rate per capita in the world.
loonatic112358: kidsizedcoffin: loonatic112358: after the suing, i do hope she considers movingBack to Mexico? Well, at least you were polite about it./sarcasmif I could make the middle finger using the keyboard on my cellI think she should move away from that city to avoid any future harassment

Old enough to know better: Whiplash!!!: I hope she sues the fark out of them.Bears repeating.
Skyred: I don't care, I don't like Mexicans
kapaso: luktti: pxlboy: It's the scared-ass bluehairs who keep voting assholes like Joe in office.Do not care for sheriff Joe. But the illegals are getting way out of hand.So then start jailing the employers like we do everybody else and the problem will go away.
Nadie_AZ: See that map? Yeah, the one of the Mexican American war? The one America started in the 1840s? See that spot where I live? Where the Gila river is? Yeah, that's Phoenix. Guess what country that was in the middle of? Mexico. Mexico owned that land for 20 years. Before that? Spain. For hundreds of years. Spanish owned, bred and settled.
