Even dumber: Calling 911 after someone stole your drugs.

I figured out who makes the crack. It's the suckers with the badges and the blue jackets.

Suboxone is a drug to help with opiate withdraw... it blocks the opiate receptors from the opiates. why in the hell would anyone shoot that?

That's no phone. That's my tracker

The device in your purse or jeans that you think is a cellphone - guess again. It is a tracking device that happens to make calls. Let's stop calling them phones. They are trackers.

Most doubts about the principal function of these devices were erased when it was disclosed Monday that cellphone carriers responded 1.3 million times last year to law enforcement requests for call data.

Planet Money had a podcast about it the other day. Basically, addicts can take it instead of heroin and be able to be productive members of society... but the FDA has (at the insistence of the usual a-holes) made access to it unusually difficult. So addicts end up buying it on the black market now so they can get through their day - and typically for cheaper than heroin. But if their dealer doesn't have any that day then they have to take heroin instead, with all of those obvious downsides.

I especially liked the six extra seconds I had to wait for their crapsite to load all the dynamic ads.

my point was it's an oral drug that dissolves under your tongue. i didnt know it could be shot up. but you are correct it is very difficult to get. In fact, doctors have to have a special license to prescribe it. I took it in '06 for a short period it helped somewhat, but being in a rehab environment helped more.

addiction to routine - sometimes you just want to prep and shoot out of habit, even if it's just water in the syringe.

From time to time I hear about accidental 911 calls. My question is: do people really program 911 into their speed dials, and if so, why? Is eliminating what, two button pushes, that important?

most likely he was already being monitored, and whatever agency that was tapping his phone just called 911 from it to give them an excuse to bust him.
