If they were all on the same page, couldn't we just close the book on them?

That's horrific.

I picked up a kid with a cockroach who had crawled into his ear while he was asleep. He was literally screaming and clawing at his ear, even after two doses of morphine. As I was later told in the ER, these things are quite common in the larger cities, and they see them at least once a week at the children's hospitals.

They flooded this kids' ear with 2% lidocaine/epi, and then finally pulled the bugger out with hemostats. I had nightmares for a week afterwords.

Dear lord, I had to scratch my ears as soon as I read the headline. Subby, you're a bastard.

But bravo.

This is exactly why I keep my ears plugged solid with wax. It really wasn't because I'm too lazy -- IT'S BECAUSE OF THE SPIDERS!!!

2012-08-09 11:14:04 AM
This probably happens pretty often, it's just that MOST of us don't go running to the media for our 15 minutes.

My wife woke up screaming one night, saying there was a bug in her ear. She runs into the bathroom and grabs tweezers, but I stop her before she rams them into her ear because I don't want her to rupture her eardrum. I keep telling her that she had just had a bad dream, there was no bug in her ear.

There was a bug in her ear. I felt bad.

The end.

The picture proves it's real and can and will happen to anyone at a moments notice. It's why I always keep a loaded pistol close by in case I need to show the little guy who's really in charge. Heh, stupid spiders, think they're so smart.

Loa loa. The fly's bite deposited larvae into his bloodstream, and those larvae grew into worms that crawled through his skin and into his eye.

/ironically this happened to a Christian missionary, who, you know, presumably doesn't believe in evolution.

I was on some tropical island once and got that water-in-ear sensation, which I thought was weird because I hadn't put my head in the water. I filed it under 'weird island shiat' and two days later, the 'water' finally came out. Turns out it was a very small, and very dead, bug.

After the initial gross out drama scene that ensued, I realised that it wasn't even that bad.

The End

What did the spider say? Yes! What was he saying?
Ok. I will tell you.
The spider told her things about the world. He told her about the time there was a big typhoon on the island and all the sharks came out of the water. Yes. They came out of the water and they walked right into your house with their big white teeth.
And the woman heard these things. And she was in love.
