Might have more impact if they were in D.C. or New York.

Wow, someone's a drama llama...

Well really, I mean, hangers make more sense than mannequins but I don't see why wall street is to blame for that

Who made the NPC comment in one of the Romney threads? That was so on the money, and applies here...

Wait, so the people of Vegas are upset that people in New York made bad risky decisions with money? OK, sport.

No one on Wall Street has ever committed a crime. Otherwise we'd hear about it. Wall Streeters are just one rung below angels.

I was once driving home from work (in Reading, PA) and someone threw a mannequin hanging from a noose over the bridge just as I was driving under it. Scared the HELL out of me and really shook me for a while, even though as soon as I stopped I knew it was a mannequin

Were there 404 mannequins? Only on mobile? C'mon Al Gore, respect the internet you invented!

Wall Streeters, like anyone else, are innocent until proven guilty. If you want to make accusations that's your prerogative, but unless you can bring evidence to the table you're just scapegoating.

For something like that to work, the people you're sending a message to need to have a sense of shame. The denizens of Wall Street have none.

Wow, someone said bad taste. And the first goal of these guys is obviously to not offend anyone's feelings.

To be fair to Wall Street, the Vegas economy boomed as a result of the housing bubble. They were probably the city that benefitted the most from Wall Street's financial games with home lending, so they really can't complain too much now that the gravy train has ended. What are they supposed to do? Keep artificially pumping up housing prices so the money keeps flowing into Vegas? None of this poutrage is going to turn back the clock to the salad days of 2005-2006.

Don't point to only Republicans. All politicians are on board.

Our politicians don't run the Government, NWO bankers do. Look it up with an open mind. Really.

One of these was located right on I-15, and people actually stopped and ran across the highway to help, thinking it was a real person. In the early morning hours, it sure looked real. Thankfully nobody got killed. What a dumb stunt.

The term you're looking for is 'meretricious'.

I quite like the Paris hotel, though: they have an excellent patisserie.

Bad taste?

Definitely not worse than trashing American jobs, liquidating their value and hiding it outside the country so you don't have to pay taxes and help to pay your country back for your success.

And then running for president.

Vegas is a mafia built shiathole in the middle of a blazing desert and they blame Wall Street for their problems?

Dude, the gravy train didn't "end." It crashed and took down innocent people with it. I have friends and loved ones in former real estate hot-spots (S Florida, especially) who can't sell their own modest homes because they're worth d*ck compared to just 5 or 6 years ago. And no, I'm not talking about people who took out irresponsible loans from predatory lenders, but people who played by the rules, purchased responsibly, purchased for their own shelter and not as a business scheme, and are now deep underwater due to the actions of people hundreds or thousands of miles away. Remember, these people had nothing to do with sharing the tides of profits in the boom. They simply bought a farking house to live in.

I had to clarify that last part because, according to Rush and Hannity, only the APR idiots are suffering, and they deserve it! Some of them are black!

If they bought vastly overpriced houses in South Florida 5-6 years ago, they were clearly not being responsible.

If they were really buying for the right reasons, they wouldn't need to sell so soon.

Main Street: "Let me borrow a lot of money so I can buy a new house with the stainless steel kitchen appliances and the granite countertops! My RealtorTM assures me it is a wise investment that will only increase in value. HURRY! I AM BEING PRICED OUT OF THE MARKET BY EVERYONE ELSE AS IMPRESSIONABLE AS ME!"

Wall Street: "Ok, in order to free up capital for your 'investment' ambitions, we'll need to securitize your mortgages. Gives us a way deeper liquidity pool."

Main Street: "Wut?"

Wall Street: "Don't worry about that...we'll make it so the bank can loan you the money. You'll pay it back, right?"

Main Street: "Of course! My RealtorTM and the business news channels and David Lereah said this is different! I can always sell the house for more than I paid for it, pay you back, and go on a vacation!"

Wall Street: "Ok"

Main Street: "Thanks! I bid a million dollars for that 4 bedroom 2 bath in San Diego! Gotta have it!!!"

*****fast forward 5 years*****

Wall Street: "Um about that mortgage, you're missing payments...you doing alright?"

Main Street "OMG I can't sell this house and I can't afford $6k / month on my $40k salary! DAMN YOU WALL STREET!!! JUMP YOU farkERS!!!"

Wall Street: "We did what you (and the sitting government) wanted us to do. We created liquidity for your little real estate bubble."

Main Street "You greedy remorseless bastards!!!

And so on.
