I didn't know there was a second book, I thought it was just the one.

Are there more? I liked the first one (book and movie actually, both were fun).

Or is this some throwback to something I don't remember being in the book that was contained in the movie because I was seriously drunk when I read it?

They made more comic books. Dr. Gravity is from Kick-Ass 2

There's a need for a second one?

What's next, a Professional 2 with Jean Reno's zombie corpse?

Kick-Ass was good.

Scrubs was good (until the end).

I'm up for this. He's been quiet for a while.

There's a Kick Ass 2 (already complete) and a Hit-Girl Miniseries. Issue 2 of Hit Girl is out now I think.

It would be interesting to catch up with Matilda a few years later, just to see if she had taken up... cleaning... as a profession.

But other than a vignette in the credits or similar there really isn't much of a story to tell after the events in Leon is there?

/I assume you mean the movie Leon as you mention Jean Reno.

The first third of the new movie is going to be the Hit Girl miniseries that's being done right now and the rest is from the Kick Ass 2 comic that just recently wrapped up.

Cool stuff so far. Kind of standard Millar. His Secret Service series, I'm digging a little more.

There's no goddamn way they would release ANYTHING close to the nature and tone of the second book.

(MASSIVE SPOILERS! BEWARE!)

Kick-Ass's girlfriend is basically gang-raped by the Red Mist and his cronies and beaten into a coma. That's shiat you'd see in a Gaspar Noe film, not a major Hollywood release for a comic book film.

(SPOILERS OFF)

They'll treat it the same way they treated Wanted and completely take a hatchet to the plot. They only similarities will be that Kick-Ass has to fight Red Mist (Now calling himself The Motherfarker) and Hit-Girl comes out of retirement. And Clockwork Orange-ish gangs of "Supervillians" basically start engaging in acts of terrorism and start a bloodbath in Times Square. For fun.

I liked the Wanted movie, but im convinced they took an existing script, changed a few things and tied it to a comic book no ones ever heard of for some odd reason. I would love to see an ACTUAL wanted movie, but thatd never happen.

Would make a lot more sense.

I mean, I can see where they wanted a super gritty dark comic anti hero because iron man and bat man were furiously destroying the box offices, but wanted was a bit too visceral to work.

The movie had nothing to do with the comic almost. Everything that made the comic great was homogenized and removed from the movie.

I also second the demoniod missing comment. Anyone recommend an alternative or replacement for audio books and comics? EIP if you're a spook.

According to Mark Millar, that scene is going to be in the movie.

So the reaction from those who haven't read Kick-Ass 2 should be interesting.

Well, by the end of the first one, Red Mist has inherited his father's criminal empire and is out for vengeance against Kick-Ass. So there's definitely room for another.

TPB (im just gonn start calling it "The Bay", can we make that a thing?) has a pretty decent selection as far as comics go, demonoid was always just my backup for comics and movies, if i couldnt find it on the bay i could maybe find it on Demonoid, and if not there id just google "_thing_ + torrent". If that still didnt work it doesnt exist.

Need or not they pretty much announced it was coming at the end of the first one with Red Mist declaring his intent for revenge so it's not some unimaginable "where would they go from there?" situation.
