This.

I wouldn't say on all levels. Their animated movies are good.

Farking Canuck: CeroX: Farking Canuck: Crewmannumber6: The Town was a good movie.

Side bar, your honor. Is the guy in The Bourne Legacy the same guy from The Town?

Yup. Jeremy Renner came out of nowhere with The Hurt Locker (small roles up until then).

Now he's a major character in The Town, Hawkeye in Thor (cameo) and the Avengers, and the lead in the Borne Legacy ... he certainly hit the acting jackpot.

He was the main antagonist in SWAT in the early 2000s... I said then that he should see some big roles, then nothing until The Hurt Locker...

Fair enough. I wonder if he changed agents.

He was doing one-off tv appearances during that drought (the standard CSI and House type stuff that all non-A List actors do) then all of a sudden he'shiatting gold after gold.

Either he paid his dues and then did a great job of jumping on the Hurt Locker's success ... or he dumped his agent and got one who knows how to get movie work.

/pure speculation of course

Hurt Locker was his breakout. It helps that it was a relatively small production that went on to win a few awards, drove his star power up.

YodaBlues: Sgt Oddball: Fluorescent Testicle: I don't think TMLO has seen Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back.

I believe you are correct. YodaBlues, on the other hand, is a fan.

I don't know what you're talking about...

/and I wasn't with a hooker today, HA-HA!
//Trailer for Argo, Affleck's new movie. Looks interesting, probably see it.

ThatDarkFellow: Hell, most of the projects that came out of the Animated DC Movie universe these last years have been excellent. (Under the Red Hood was phenomenal). They could even look to that as inspiration.

Justice League Doom was a great movie as well.

Will Ferrell is a deal-killer for me.

Will Ferrell kills deals.

YodaBlues: /I, too, am ok with this. Gone Baby Gone and The Town were pretty solid.

Damn skippy.

galactus5000: I'm with this guy. Affleck has proven himself to be a pretty good director. Sure, the subject pool isn't the biggest, but it's all been quality so far.

Exactly.

I think Argo - if it's in line with the others - will serve as a springboard towards even greater projects.

Apos: May this promise remain unfulfilled. Forever.

Oafmeel: When can we get a REAL Hellblazer movie? Since reboots, sequels and prequels are all the rage, maybe we can get a British John Constantine...

/I'm thinking Gorden Ramsey. Maybe it's the level of joyous cursing and pompous attitude...
//maybe coz the wifey watches him regularly...

If this ever happened (which it won't) Liam Neeson needs to get the role.
