I've heard rumors that they're actually going to use Sanchez right up until they get into the red zone, and then pull him and put in Tebow Christ inside the 20.

As a Jets fan who actually listens to what the coaches say and not what ESPN says they mean; Tebow will be used a wildcat QB, fullback, halfback, and the punt protection. What ESPN hasn't realized is that the new OC for the Jets will only help Sanchez get better and limit the usage of Tebow. Tebow will be apart of a lot of plays, just not that many as a QB.

As a Bronco fan I am amused that you think it's going to turn out that way. I give it week 5 and the fans will be going nuts for Tebow to start. Sanchez throws 5-7 interceptions in a 2 game period and it will happen.

The difference between the Broncos and the Jets is that the Broncos front office that drafted him wasn't there last year. So they had a second string QB who caused lots of problems for them because the fans demanded he play. If he didn't win no big deal it was Denver. If he did win, great. This is New York, you have to win. If you don't win they will throw you out like this morning's Post and forget you ever existed.

But he did win. I know I know, he did it on the back of a very stingy defense. But hey, the Jets have a solid D too. Rex is also a gambler. I wouldn't put it past him to start Tebow just to light a fire under Sanchez's aass when, not if, he goes on a slump. I imagine if the Jets go on a 3 game slide he wont have much to lose. Starting Tebow would shut the fans up and make Sanchez the hardest working QB in the game overnight. And who knows, it wouldn't be the first losing streak Tebow has put an end to.

Get over yourself. Denver is small, but don't delude yourself into thinking there's anything else going on here. It's Broncos, Broncos, Broncos, food, air, Broncos. But please continue to tell us how winning is the expectation for the J-E-T-S Jets Jets Jets. Peyton skipped that nightmare for the Broncos for a reason.

Rhypskallion: The Patriots have proven to be Tebow-proof. What else is there for the Jets? Can anyone in the AFC beat an improved Patriots team? Anyone?

Hmm, the Patriots have a relatively easy schedule this year:

at Tennessee Titans
Arizona Cardinals
at Baltimore Ravens
at Buffalo Bills
Denver Broncos
at Seattle Seahawks
New York Jets
at St. Louis Rams
Buffalo Bills
Indianapolis Colts
at New York Jets
at Miami Dolphins
Houston Texans
San Francisco 49ers
at Jacksonville Jaguars
Miami Dolphins

I'd say their toughest AFC games this year are:
@Ravens (Revenge game?)
@Bills (doubtful, but they did pull out the win early last year)
@Seahawks (Seahawks normally play much better at home).
@Jets (Contrary to Pats fans beliefs, the Jets/Pats series hasn't been completely one sided in recent years.)
vs. Texans

Out of that group, The Texans and Ravens probably have the best chance of winning. Again, this is just based off of AFC opponents.

True, but when compared to Denver there is a lot more space given for failure, and that is the key here. How much space will be given for either QB if neither start to win.

I'm not saying the Seahawks are world beaters - one look at their 5 year record should answer that question - but for all the talk about how poorly West coast teams play in the 1PM EST time slot (aka, "breakfast football", as in the Chargers, Cardinals, 49ers, Raiders etc. are playing games at either 11AM or 10AM after the switch (!), there's something about east coast teams playing in Seattle and to a lesser extent, California. about two years ago the NFC South played the West and the Saints, in their super bowl year, did not perform well on the road. Tampa Bay (who just sucked)played flat outside of a come from behind win at ARizona.

it is kinda fascinating as the Western teams just haven't been great period (Cardinals, the dreadful Raiders, the Chargers were close but seem to have regressed a bit, 49ers had the 2011 resurgence but before that were bad under Nolan and CAN'T WIN WITH HIM.

LOL so a guy in his second year didn't meet your standards, even though he's got a winning record and helped lead the Broncos to their first playoff win since 2005. What did your favorite QB look like in his first two seasons? Did he take some embarrasing losses? Not look true to form? Did he even play a game in his first two seasons at all? Because if you don't hold your own team's QB to the same high standards, you're a hypocrite.

And let's not pretend that the defense had anything to do with the two beatdowns the Broncos took from the Pats, it might fark your whole point all up.

First of all, if Tebow was a TE maybe he could play for my Pats. Maybe. Nothing really indicates he'd be a good a TE but WTF, who cares? Pats are all TE all the time. Plus, I'd like to see a TE option out of the Pats offense.

... and it was against a stronger schedule. 2 of the first 4 games were against playoff teams (including a win over Cincy), compared to 2 of 12 after Tebow became the starter (shellackings at the hands of Detroit and New England). Not sure. Maybe by proxy. Not trying to turn this into a political debate anyway. I'd take him on the Pats and I don't mind the gays either.I'm sure a lot of players have hard anti-gay stances. I feel like if Tebow is a good guy in real life than Jesus wouldn't be all that butthurt about what Tebow does. Who knows at this point. I hope the Pats kick their ass but whatever. Plenty of players are overtly religous.

TLDR: Stop being a jackass.

passes that aren't accurate, apparently.

chewielouie: MacEnvy: Matthew 6:5 - "And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by men. I tell you the truth, they have received their reward in full."

[28.media.tumblr.com image 250x138]

"Whoever acknowledges me before men, I will also acknowledge him before my Father in heaven." Matthew 10:32

But you go right on ahead and keep taking Matthew 6:5 out of context where Jesus was being critical of hypocrites, and not the act of praying in public per se.

See, this is why they give you people preachers. That passage means "above men", not "in front of men".

It's really not that hard to figure out.

Flappyhead: Do you need to be reminded of how many games were tied/won by the kicker? From their side of the fifty yard line?

/I've given up trying to figure out who's trolling in Tebow threads.

So what you're saying is that football is a team sport, needing offense, defense and special teams to contribute to win a game? You should write a book, it would sell millions. I've even got a title for you..."Football 101"

LOL plus you're probably a cowboys fan. So you more than anyone should understand that pretty stats from your QB don't necessarily mean shiat. Or did you need it pointed out that Tebow and romo have the same amount of playoff wins. And it didn't take Tebow 7 years in the league to get his like it did romo.

Actually, if you continue reading, he tells you to pray in private. THAT is the context.

Someone needs to go back and start at Matthew 6:1, and think.

Nope. Hate the Cowboys.

And I'm not talking stats. I'm talking points. You know, the only offensive stat that matters? The Broncos scored more before Tebow started. Defense bailed the Broncos out time and time again.

Hey I guess if you can't go by what I say, you can just make shiat up. But from what I read last season, from the mouths of the players themselves, Tebow did something to give them energy and drive to play better than Kyle Orton had ever done.

The only stat that matters is a W or an L. And you can sit there and piss and moan all day long about how the Broncos scored more points before Tebow. Fact is, they were 1-4 scoring more points, and 7-4 after.

Thing about it is, hate filled morons like you will say ANYTHING so you don't have to give Tebow any credit. People who like the Broncos have no problems enjoying the D playing well, Prater stepping up to make some nice FGs, Willis running his ass off.

Also, HBO completely whiffed by not selecting the Jets for Hard Knocks this year. From Rex vomiting up his lap-band along with his latest buffet table blitz, to the comedy gold from interviews with newly-minted Jets Fundies, to the feigned admiration/veiled contempt Dirty and Tebow will have for each other all season long, to the abundant schadenfreude of ripping into the 2nd most deliberately delusional fans in the NFL.

bel4sucks: JohnBigBootay: Who in turn could ask the Patriots fans. Twice. And the bills. And the chiefs. Truth is they backed into the playoffs after three straight embarrassing losses to close the season in which Tebow played his worst football of the year, had an outstanding win vs the steelers, then he reverted to form in a 35 point loss to the patriots. So, the answer to your rhetorical questions is, 'sure, he wins. but he also loses. a lot. and looks like shiat doing it.'

I wouldn't call him my favorite qb but he's the qb of my favorite team at any rate - anyway, you asked for it...

First two years you say? Well, yes he started as a rookie. I think they went 15-1. He started his second year as well and they won the super bowl, though in fairness he didn't play great in it.

Anyway I'd say that more than makes me not a hypocrite since you're setting the rules. You wouldn't be interested in a guy like that though as I don't think he's been a very good Christian.

Oh, and he completed over 60% of his passes each of those years - you know, like decent professional quarterbacks do.

I don't give a fark about Tebow or anyone else's Christianity, but now I can see why you're so butthurt in a Tebow thread. Gotta be a biatch watching someone you think is so inferior torch your supposed number one defense for 300 yards. Plus, until someone else can beat 11 seconds, the steelers will be on the losing side of "What was the shortest OT playoff game in NFL history".

WTF Indeed: Tebow will be apart of a lot of plays, just not that many as a QB.

And how does Tim feel about this? He specially plays QB so he can better market.

So, the story of the AFC playoffs will be: can anyone beat New England? It's a long season, and maybe the status quo will change along the way--but the Pats are looking like the team to beat. Again. Oh boy.

And they both have less than Sanchez. That's a pretty useless argument. No one would (or should) argue that Sanchez is better than Romo. But he's played better in the playoffs, and has four playoff wins.
Same argument for Sanchez Vs. Tebow. For all the talk about Tebow just "winning" the reality is that Sanchez has been a bigger winner at the NFL level.

OK? Sanchez can be better than Tebow, it's not a big deal. You can claim romo is better than Sanchez because his numbers are prettier, but when it doesn't translate into postseason success, what's the point? What's the biggest knock on Dan Marino again?
