Bolt also expressed anger that an official said he should run in a straight line before the 100-meter final. That's sort of like telling Michael Phelps not to start playing Marco Polo during the 400 IM.

Always listen to the officials. There might've been a last-minute course change.

He should just fashion one out of his gold medals. That would show them.

The weird rules going on at these Olympics have angered more than Bolt. Telling an athlete he can't bring in a warm-up aid, because there's a rule against it? Why? Do they think he's going to go on a one-man jump-rope-strangling spree and kill dozens before he can be stopped?

The jump rope, it is made from hemp, Mon.

He should show them a big, brown rope.

I think the issue is they couldn't stop him. HE'S SO FAST!

Maybe he should smuggle in a sarcasm detector.

Say what you will about Usain Bolt, I still think he did a decent job filming Postal...

It's possible that the only track and field star to be among the top 100 financially remunerated athletes (estimated at $20M last year) is not a moron.

If you want to ban something, ban the horde of gymnastics coaches who try to get more camera time than the actual athletes.

I heard Caster Semenya was caught smuggling grapes into the stadium.

2012-08-08 03:49:33 PM
Tell ya what. If you can catch him, you can confiscate his rope.

2012-08-08 03:54:24 PM
The problem is that his rope is not from the Official Jumping Rope Sponsor of the 2012 Games.

It's a Chris Chase article. No one takes that assclown seriously.

wildcardjack: "Silly Bolt, smuggling is what interns are for."

And making a big production out of your intention to violate "the rules" is how you shift security focus to yourself and ensure that your buddy on the competitive doubles grass weaving team gets waved through with whatever it is you wanted to sneak in.

Maybe it is British health and safety rules... You might trip and hurt yourself with a jump-rope.

2012-08-08 05:18:04 PM
Out of curiosity, why can't he just go through all the same motions and warm-up without the rope? It doesn't seem critical to me the say a barbell could be or rollers/trainer would be for a bike.

the man don't want no double dutch in the Olympics. what are you going to do?

Have security officials been watching too many James Bond films and/or "The Naked Gun"?

They've been watching Johnny Dangerously and they think it's part of the tommy gun.

That would be a great way to end the career, and let someone else win. At least great for Fark.
