It's always spiffy when people are forced into going backwards technologically in order to survive.

Is "going Greek" actually a thing? What is that, no lube? Well, I suppose petroleum products do cost more these days...

1. greek 3467 up, 1299 down

Anal sex. Used mostly as a euphemism in prostitution circles.
I looked at the newspaper ad of 'Lola', she specifically said 'No Greek'.

Depending on how many payments you've missed, your creditors may opt for this.

The sixth graders at Almond Elementary school in Los Altos, Ca sure did.

I wonder if Greek agriculture has started going back to plowhorses and hand-winnowing yet.

Maybe the "Spiffy" tag is there because bicycling is good for the environment and it's beneficial to the health of the riders. Assuming they don't crash, of course.

I'm an occasional bike commuter and I enjoy it. I'm lucky enough to have a shower at work, so that helps. It does save me a little on gas, but the biggest benefit is that when I arrive at work, I have a lot of energy.

You know the old saying...when in Greece, do as the Grecians.

I don't laugh at people in poverty, I laugh at rich people in rich (corrupt) countries that have spent their way into poverty

/sort of like what the US is doing....
//dang-it...now it's not funny

Based on my experience in Greece, biking might be the only option for travel. Cars don't do much when the fuel providers are on strike.

That depends on what one means by "backwards technologically." There are quite a number of people who would argue that going from a car to a bike is not in fact a step backward. Some would even call it a step forward; I disagree, but the arguments can be made.
