The first rule of inappropriate fight club is don't use curse words when talking about inappropriate fight club, because that would be inappropriate.

Rules. Damned auto-correct. . .

Damnit, this is the second time in a month that I've seen a "DC Metro" article and thought "PG County, gotta be" and it turned out to by St. Mary's.

Is PG County leaking or something?

Welcome to Fight Club. The first rule of Fight Club is: you do not talk about Fight Club. The second rule of Fight Club is: you DO NOT talk about Fight Club! Third rule of Fight Club: someone yells "stop!", goes limp, taps out, the fight is over. Fourth rule: only two guys to a fight. Fifth rule: one fight at a time, fellas. Sixth rule: No shirts, no shoes. Seventh rule: fights will go on as long as they have to. And the eighth and final rule: if this is your first time at Fight Club, you have to fight.

I think it's called NY Jets Camp.

So the kids are being taught self-defense in case they are bullied at school. What's the point here?

They hired the counselors from DC.

Something similar happened when I was a camp counselor. Only difference is we paid the kids so it was more of an underground prize fight than some back alley brawl. Also we didn't get caught. Partly because we used the best fighter as muscle to keep any potential snitches in line.

Not my best moment, but we were 13/14 year old kids put in charge of a large group of 5/6 year olds, with little to no supervision. I'm surprised none of them died on our watch.

Given the likely participants, it's more probable that they're leaning bullying skills.

buckler: Authorities investigating 'inappropriate fight club' at summer camp

As opposed to all the appropriate summer camp fight clubs?

Yeah, the Ladies Auxillary Pillow Fight Club. Those taut, nubile coed bodies, flailing away at each other, giggling madly, clad only in their sheer nighties which gradually become transparent as persperation coats their skin in the warm, summer air, only to pause as one takes an accidentally vicious blow. The others pause, concerned, and her opponent rushes to her, kneeling over her, panting, laying a hand upon her breast to make sure her heart still beats, then stroking her cheek as she is helped to her feet, the air electric, the skin to skin touch feverish. They stand together but don't separate... there is something in the night, calling to them, calling between them. To show all is forgiven, the fallen gently cups her opponent's chin in her soft, almost timid hand, but then she grows stronger, and guides their lips together with a saucy boldness, as if expecting rejection but determined to taste the salty smile of her friend, but no, it is not rejection that greets her, it is want, bold desire echoes, their lips parting, their tongues dancing slowly, gently deepening their contact. Around them the other ladies watch in awe and their desire too sparks, until their leader strips off her shirt, and beckons to the two nearest her...

You know what? That's probably an inappropriate fight club also.

Man, that's some awful punctuation. It totally pulled me away from wanting to read the story.

She writes like she's brain-dead, could be her.

Camp Brown is about 80 miles from Washington. It was actually named after a former D.C. Police Chief. The place has been around for years.

/How are you? I am fine. The weather here is nice.

Not defending Fox, but it's all websites now. "Did it pass spell-check? Post it!"

I'm sure there's worse examples from others, but reading those three sentences made me cringe. It sounds like it got lifted straight from the opening lines of a fifth-grade essay on "How I Spent My Summer At Camp Brown".

Something tell me that the Subby is a female when a "Fight Club" news story got a Scarey tag.

For a DC area summer camp?
I would expect metal detectors, K-9's, guard towers equiped with water and tear gas cannons, counserlors quarters behind 10' tall security fences topped w/razor wire, helo pad dedicated to DC SWAT, emergency evac tunnel.

A couple of kids taking wacks at each other seems rather mundane.
