Just let me at 'em before you test them, then I can guarantee they'll all pass their pregnancy tests...

/they'll all be 18, 20, 25 by the time they graduate 8th grade anyway
//louisiana...where was F*ckabee's god while he was having gastric fat-ass surgery?

Sure, stop giving public schoolchildren the only tests they can pass.

/oh wait, I forgot about drug tests.

Who cares, it's Louisiana. It's not like any of them were going to actually pass the test anyway.

Their policy does not discriminate based on gender. Any boys found to be pregnant will be asked to leave school also.

That bill requires federal employees to post detailed personal information about their financial activity online. It would subject more than 28,000 people to the risk of identity theft.

Try again.

The hidden agenda behind the GOP's attack on public schools and the enthusiasm behind charter schools (not that all charter schools are bad), it allows them to better enact their social engineering plans on the youth without oversight. Especially those whose parents are not part of the "conservative cult". They basically want to create conservative madrasas and then slowly destroy the public schools to where children have no choice.

The only reason they made the school change it is that the school got caught. I'm sure that if no one had brought it to the attention of the rest of the public, the school would still be doing it and the state would not say a word.

Not saying the ACLU isn't a worthy cause, but I gave them $50 once and it seems like every other month since then I get an appeal for more cash. I don't even read the letters any longer.

On the other hand you have an org like Philabundance, which basically asks how often you would prefer to be contacted.

What marketing? And i bet the ACLU is strapped for cash. Think how often you see them filing lawsuits against GOP states for blatantly unconstitutional rules.

Yep. I've worked with/around charter schools. There are some good ones, but damn there's a lot of corruption. One charter leader in Philadelphia just got indicted to the tune of several million dollars, and one of her co-leaders committed suicide before the feds could bust him.

I donated $20 to a charity that gives calling cards to soldiers. They proceeded to flood me with more than $20 worth of solicitations for me to give them more money. Dudes - you are doing it wrong.

My favorite ones are where they claim that a nickel will save a child's life. Then they proceed to mail you a nickel.

Pretty much this. The best thing is that the only people that will be pushed out of these Republican programs are sycophantic retards that know nothing except how to scream when confronted with someone who knows what they're talking about. It'll be a world full of Bob Jones University types who stare blankly when something falls out of their predetermined schema. All this Republican takeover of education will result in is a loss of superpower status since nobody will know how to do anything except squeal for Jesus.

Me either, but the OP clearly stated: "it seems like every other month since then I get an appeal for more cash. I don't even read the letters any longer." (emphasis mine) I'm highly doubtful that they mail individual letters to donors, but if they do that, that's even more expensive than mass mailouts. Either way, when you are asking people to give you money, whether you're offering anything in return or not, it's still marketing.

This.

I mean, I can see how they arrived at this - pregnancy is a very visible, very outward sign of sexual activity that you can't possibly mistake for anything else once the girls reach late term, and boys never develop visible signs of paternity. Doesn't make it right, but it at least makes a degree of sense.
