This not the first time Tiffany has used a kitchen utensil to dole out some homemade justice; she was also arrested in 2008 for stabbing a man with a fork due to an argument over diapers.

I'm trying to picture a scene where forks are present and diapers are a likely subject for discussion. Right now, I'll have to go with Monkey Island levels of additional inventory space.

Tiffany was arrested and charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, making terroristic threats...

Making terroristic threats? Did she also say she was going to attack somewhere?

sooo she has a history of physical abuse...he did a rude, clueless, but ultimately innocent thing...
She turned to violence, he hid behind her children, she...turned to violence.
TFA calls what she did 'homemade justice;' even if that was somewhat facetious, how could anyone really look at it that way? It's a dumb person doing something dumb, and a terrible person doing something terrible. How is this a Weird Crime anyway?

Uh... not attempted murder? repeatedly stabbing someone while screaming that you're going to kill them sounds kinda murder-y to me.

Of course there's tons of female on male DV, seen some crazy biatches do some crazy things myself; but I still think that 'study' is lacking. In reports gathered from DV coalitions using arrest reports, convictions and various other reports, the numbers tend to come out more 30% female on male and 70% male on female. I personally will add in the factor that a lot of these aren't reported in any respect so I'd go up to 50/50.

Well at least her response wasn't "Challenge accepted".

And damn, talk about making people all stabby.

/on a serious note, it is not cool to stab anyone for the reasons she did (both times), regardless of whether children were around. And even though she asked them to leave, I would think that it only spared the children from actually witnessing the stabbing, but they still saw her brandishing the knife, heard the guy ask if she was going to stab him in front of them, and then mommy goes away and dude goes to hospital. Not hard to piece together for those kids. They will probably need a lot of therapy in the coming years.

This isn't the first time she has pulled a knife on a man and she still has custody of her kids. Sexist legal system will keep them with her too.

Reminds me of my crazy ex-wife. Put our 4 year old son in the hospital (3x) or urgent care (1) 4 times in the last year and a half through neglect. I try to talk to the doctors about all the neglect issues and I'm the one that gets chastized in court.

One of my exes recently got into a fight with her boyfriend, he ended up in jail for defending himself.
she is 5 inches taller and a lot stronger than he is.

She admitted to me that she punched him a few times because of an argument before he hit her back to defend himself.

Regardless of what we were told as kids there are times when you hit a woman, those times are when you are afraid she is going to kill you.
The above article would have been a justified reason to knock a woman out. Sadly he would have been the one going to jail if he had done so.

To assume that "just a woman" doesn't seriously want to hurt you in an altercation is a good way to end up dead. Sucks for this guy...

LOL, me too. I went for the funny, but you bring up a good point. I went through abusive crap from my step dad for years. For example, I once didn't "take out the trash", and my step dad dumped it in my bed. I mostly had to deal with verbal abuse (because I was smart, my nickname was the unwieldy "The World's Largest Repository of Superfluous Bullshiat". It almost became my FARK handle.), but the threat was always there, and occasionally I got a "tune-up". I should have gone to college as I had scholarships, but to get away from him, I joined the Army. I still have issues. Thanks dad.

2012-08-08 11:18:33 AM
Irritating somebody's sunburn for a joke is some weapons-grade dickery right there, but it's not worth going all stabby about. And if she had the presence of mind to calm down, get the kids out of the room, and then go all stabby, that's cold blood right there.

At the very least, she needs a full psychological work-up. Given the repeat nature of the incident, some time away from the kids would probably be good for both her and them.

I am shocked by this. It couldn't possibly have anything to do with the fact that the man is the one that gets his ass hauled off and charged even when the woman is the aggressor. The chick in the article screamed "I'm going to kill you!" and stabbed a dude. She wasn't even charged with attempted murder. I'm sure this ridiculous double standard has no effect on the stats.

He hit her first. He knew about her sunburn, and he thought it would be 'funny' and 'playful' to hit her on the site of her injury. He's damn lucky she didn't cave his head with a skillet. Hopefully he's learned not to torment his next girlfriend in the room where the knives are kept.

This. He started it. Slapping somebody's sunburn shows an intent to cause them pain. She should have just given him some superficial cuts and poured salt (or alcohol) on on them. "Hahaha! Who's funny and playful now, muthafarker?"
