I clicked on this link, not caring who the source was, figuring it was sometihng like the Onion or the Oatmeal, something funny where a mistake like this could be giggled at.

But I clicked it.... AND IT WAS THE farkING WASHINGTON POST....

Great Caesar's Ghost, what the hell is this man thinking?

/I doubt this would actually cost him any votes, except maybe a few for people who say "Wow, this guy is dumb."
//but his communications team needs to be drug out into the street and shot.

You know, his staff would probably be much more effective if they didn't have to devote as much time to walking back Romney's daily gaffes.

Seriously. He has long since run past the Dukakis Threshold. If Romney were in his shoes, he would have managed to run himself over with the tank.

Romney's always making these sorts of weird Freudian slips. Russia is still the Soviet Union, let us take a moment of silence for the sheiks, (and a visual slip) Rmoney, etc.

I'll give him the benefit of the doubt and hope that this is not ignorance as much as it is an honest mistake, like Obama's 57 states.

But I still pointed and laughed at 57 states. This is similarly deserving.

From his advisers to his unbridled stupidity, should he win the election we would truly have a repeat of the Bush years.

We're to the point where they must be considering releasing the tax returns just to change the subject.

I will say though, there's no truth to the rumor that he ended his speech with a rousing cover of The Who's "The Seeker"

I wouldn't say he mispronounced two similar sounding words. I say he confused the two words despite Sikh being in the news. However, there are plenty of other reasons not to vote for the quantum candidate.

So, Rommey's campaign sent me ANOTHER fundraising letter today.

Why does one of the richest men in the country have to ask me for donations? Am I supposed to get something out of this relationship?

Does he provide a service to me in return for the donation?

Because I like to fire people who provide services to me.

I am not sure why people think they need to give money to someone who has hundreds of millions of dollars but spends none of it on his own campaign.

The sad thing is that it isn't even the dumbest thing Romney thing has said that day. The Obamalogna comment I thought was even stupider. Seriously, the only reason people are voting for Romney is because they aren't paying any attention to what a joke he is.

Rmoney caught himself saying Soviets when talking about the START Treaty:

"Obama 'entered into an agreement with the Soviets, excuse me, with Russia' in the nuclear arms START treaty that effectively required the United States to reduce its weapons stockpile while allowing Russia to increase its stockpile," Romney said on April 20.

If you talking about the kids in the Rmoney shirts, that was actually a funny photoshop and not an actual campaign goof. There are still like a hundred other slips the campaign made though.

Corvus: I thought his foriegn policy adviser made that mistake (which makes it even worse).

That's entirely possible. I've sort of lost track of whether Romney or his advisers or surrogates are saying things, only that this quantum amalgamation of Romney's election campaign equals whatever Romney is thinking at that precise moment. I am an observer of election news. I condense the waveform of anyone affiliated with Romney's campaign into a particle that can be measured, then that gets filed away into the brain pan as "Romney said this."

Because he's just farking awful at it. Constant gaffes, refusing to release his taxes even though his farking father basically started the tradition of politicians releasing their taxes and just being so stiff, awkward and condescending to people who aren't farking millionaires. Anyone wanna bet the only time he's around people who are middle/lower class is when he's campaigning? That would explain why he's so damn weird acting.

/Taxes. Reid. Bad.

Oh, my bad. Still it's a testament to how terrible his campaign is that I just assumed that was a real picture.

2012-08-08 12:52:52 AM
NO! How is it that his handlers still allow him to speak in public???

At least McCain could recognize a gaffe-factory and sequester her from the media's watchful eye.

This guy just doesn't know jack about shiat.

Must be his effort to be a 'common man'. Bet he calculated and made the mistake on purpose.

Well, the fact that he said it correctly in Illinois, and then made this gaffe in Ohio, doesn't really help your case there.

Now, why would a Republican nominee for President, who is having trouble connecting with his base, use "Sikh" in Illinois but "sheik" in Ohio? Hmmmmmm . . .
