Was expecting to laugh at her, but she doesn't attempt anything she can't pull off, she doesn't come off as uncoordinated, and generally keeps her dignity while still appearing to have a good time with folks dancing. I'm saying Hillary 1, Subby 0.

Yeah I was expecting to feel some surrogate embarrassment a la Elaine Benes, but she actually seemed pretty cool. Kinda gracious actually.

I too give her the win.

At least we now know what she does at 3 in the morning. And God help us all with THAT wake up call.

Jungle fever. Very hot.

I'm pretty sure she has an illegal alien under that suit she's wearing.

Go, sister.

Better to have fun and ignore the haters than be a prisoner of your own fear of embarrassment.

//Plus, now I have a new euphemism. "Discuss boosting trade and economic ties between the two nations" ... Uh huh, THAT'S WHAT SHE SAID.

It was uptight white chick dancing, but within those parameters it was above average.

Are you kidding? As an uptight white guy who only knows who to dance the Overbite Step-n-Sway, I give Hillary a solid A-. She demonstrated more courage and ability than I can muster after 3 beers and a double dog dare.

Well that settles it, I'm voting for Romney. How can I stand to have my Secretary of State taking part in a social function she was invited to as a guest of honor by the leader of the host country? I would have preferred her to sit in the corner with a superior, smug look on her face reading the Bible while simultaneously examining Obama's birth certificate with a microscope..

SecState John Bolton would have called in an air strike for even being ASKED to dance.

I disagree, John Bolton would have been tucked into his bed by his mommy, sucking his thumb, and dreaming of his imagined conquests in The Spanish Inquisition by 7pm.

The only thing embarrassing about this is that she's wearing a neon blue patent leather jacket better suited for a MetroCon festival than an African music set.

But in the last few seconds of the video she does have those dead eyes where you can tell she's thinking about getting the hell away from all the stupid people and their pointless revelry.

This is unrelated to Hillary, but I wonder if a nation in history has ever declared war on another nation because they were bad dancers.

I dunno, I think she managed to be respectful and fun yet still maintain her dignity. I don't see how anyone could consider this embarrassing or bad for Hillary.

Laugh all you want - at least Clinton can get through a short European trip without annoying half the world.

/would vote for her based on competency alone, let alone that I share much of her politics

His joints do not permit that range of locomotion. The cost of the upgrades required would most certainly begin to tap into Mitts secret bank accounts which are undoubtedly dedicated to supporting his future replic... progeny so that they might have a comfortable life for generations to come.

Well, a lot of the country's going to hate her regardless, for whatever reason, so they'll try to turn anything into a scandal. No reasonable person could watch this clip and think she did anything other than dancing as a middle aged woman, though.

My mother hated her based on nothing other than, "she strikes me as a b*tch." I asked about any specific actions she found b*tchy, but you and I know both know that was a lost cause. "She just seems like she wants everyone to know she's the smartest b*tch in the room."

Frankly, I want my president to be hell on wheels, as long as he or she is tempered by a solid intellect and sense of tact. Some of my favorite leaders in history were ball-busters. You know what you get with a 100% sweetheart?

Jimmy Carter. And I love that guy. Just not as a president. I say let's usher in the era of the ultra-b*tch.

2012-08-08 03:51:11 AM
God I love her. I really, really hope she's just joshing everyone with this whole "I'm retiring" thing and that she'll choose to run in 2016.

She'd be a little old for a run at the presidency, but I'd still support her.

Came for the Bush dancing in Africa pics and did not leave disappointed.

Hillary really seems comfortable in her own skin at this point and she's turned out to be remarkable effective SecState who understands well what's possible within the realm of soft power.

Plus she looks like she'd be fun to dance with.

Which is not something I think about most Secretaries of State.

I'll just come out and say it: I'd still do her. No, she's not as hot as '92, when I was a kid and still in the Mrs. Robinson phase.

But I'd fark me the hell out of some Hillary. If only to say I cornholed the Secretary of State.

That is all.

I think it's that older women aren't supposed to be having fun. Certainly older Democrat women in positions of power should never be seen to be having fun.

I just hope she doesn't bow down more than 60 degrees when greeting foreign dignitaries. Because that would be the worst thing ever.

Sadly, and I mean no offense, I have to say your mother shares the same critical analysis that most American voters have when they are deciding upon whom to vote.

Aw man...she's just being a good sport. She's the hardest working person on the planet. I hope she enjoys her post-election break, and gets back to her mission of becoming our 1st female president. We could use a woman in charge for a change. A lot of countries prosper under female leadership. See Margret, Golda, Angela, Indira, Benazir, etc. The vetting process is so much harder for women than men (see Mittens), so it makes sense that if they survive they excel.

In all fairness to Bush, the ONE continent he didn't completely fark up was Africa. Actually did some good work there, especially with HIV medicine.

/I don't like/support Bush in any way. But he did save lives in Africa.

If Bill the Cat's tales are true then yeah, wouldn't have minded partying with Albright back in her heyday.

That really wasn't that bad. I will say this though, why is Hillary Clinton embracing the "evil James Bond villain" look recently? With the ponytail and the Mandarin suits, she looks like Dr Evil.
