I believe the article said the movie is going to be set in the last 11 months of his life, so 1864-1865 is right on the money. I hope that we get to see DDL reading the Gettysburg Address, maybe even his 2nd inaugural address, which is IMO, the greatest speech ever given by an American President.

The movie is guaranteed to sweep almost every Oscar category it gets nominated for. Lewis is already a shoo-in for best actor. Oscar noms don't really have all that much to do with performance.

The book is well worth reading. Really, it's the best biography of Lincoln I've read.

Daniel Day has been known to get into his roles a little to much, I hope he doesn't ask someone to shoot him the head from behind.

JEH is in it? Right on. He is an actor that I've not seen enough of. He's been so good in the few roles I've seen him in - he has grown into such a righteous character actor. I'd like this to be a breakthrough role for him, akin to Bryan Cranston's "Breaking Bad" (opening leading roles to him, that is).

JEH, Daniel Day Lewis, and Joseph Gordan-Levitt? Throw in Gary Oldman and it pretty much has every amazing and intense actor there is right now.

Considering it's Spielberg, it'll almost certainly be the voice the public thinks Lincoln had, nothing like the voice he actually had.

If he tries to imitate Sam Waterston's Lincoln, that'll be good enough for me.
