Ryan would be a good pick...

Seriously, they might as well say "Romney/Ryan: We are going to fark the middle class."

If it is Paul Ryan the choice is probably not a good one..

"The reason I got involved in public service, by and large, if I had to credit one thinker, one person, it would be Ayn Rand" - Paul Ryan

That's not going to help them get a Christian vote. Romney needs an evangelical if he has any hopes of winning. It's irrelevant that he's also stated he's not interested in the Atheistic views of Rand because derpers don't pay attention to details.

One thing I do like about Ryan is his opposition to SOPA. ""The internet is one of the most magnificent expressions of freedom and free enterprise in history." - ryan

This is interesting, particularly what the Portman edits were - wiping any history of controversy. Good argument for him. Really shoots my Rand Paul argument when nobody is touching his page.

And, from the last paragraph, "Sifry argues that since the tactic has been exposed, we are less likely to see the dramatic editing that occurred in 2008...."

So, um, probably farking not. Thanks for wasting everyone's time, Forbes.com

You can around that by deep-frying them in a thick batter

The New Yorker just had a profile on Ryan. Perhaps people changed Ryan's wiki page using info from that article, and Ryan's staff is now undoing those edits.

The Christian vote is already theirs. They could pick Satan as VP and they'd vote Romney over Obama.

Oh yeah.....Wikipedia never receives malicious edits or friendly edits from people trying to bolster some straight-from-the-butt bias.

Thanks Forbes for perpetuating a myth. Maybe next time think about a little research and common sense before publishing.

Idiots.

I'd want to see what the edits were before granting this any credibility. If it's just a vandalize/repair war as might be likely when so many of the potential picks are well-known, then it would be indicative of nothing.

A lot of the harebrained religious fundies I know have found a way to forgive Rand her atheism by blaming it on the horror of her upbringing in the Soviet Union. In other words, she was wrong and couldn't help it when it came to her opposition to religion but everything else she was right about.

They are washing her in the blood of the lamb, post-mortem, as it suits their purposes. Sort of like the mormons baptising holocaust victims.

I think it's hilarious that many are suggesting Bobby Jindal. Why would they go with a brown person, when half of their expected vote is from those with an aversion to brown people?

Because the Romney voters will vote for him no matter what Obama is browner, after all.. The Romney camp may want to energize the black and especially latino republican voters. All seven of them.

It is quite possible that in a few weeks, when Mittens announces his pick, there are going to be a lot of people who say "but, but Paul Ryan!?" and the GOP operatives who are really in charge of this will be going "snicker-snicker."
