Remember when Xtranormal was all the rage? good one when the Giants lost to the Eagles, Matt Dodge talking about Eli and Plaxico shooting himself.

Good one, subby. I chuckled for a minute.

Just needs to sell rights to his name.

I'd buy Plaxico brand adhesives, for sure.

Strong armed QB's would love to have him on their team, knowing he can catch bullets.

Instead of the TD catch vs Pats, or the shooting incident, the first thing I think of when i hear his name is in his rookie season witht he Steelers, how he spiked the ball after a diving catch, but was never touched down.

Live ball, dumbass! defense recovered the "fumble".

someone post the Youtube of that.

Come to the Broncos Plax

bel4sucks: Come to the Broncos Plax

Please stay the hell away from the Broncos Plax.

I loved Plax in college. After his first catch as a pro he got up and spiked the ball. He hadnt been touched yet so the play was still live. That pretty much sums up all you need to know about Plaxico. I bet the Chargers or Raiders could use your services Plax, call them.

As a Giants fan, I will always remember that cold freezing day at Lambeau Field where Plax torched the Greenbay secondary (11 catches for 151 yards) and his awesome ghetto mumble. The man could mumble like the best of them.

Yeah cause if it's one thing the Broncos are overloaded on, it's veteran depth at the WR position.

Yeah cause adding a negative always turns out positive right? I dont think a guy that spent 2 years in jail for shooting himself because the illegal gun he had tucked into his sweatpants slipped can be considered a veteran. He's an idiot who got by on his once tremendous physical abilities. He no longer has those abilities.

The fact that the guys paid handsomely to make such evaluations about skill and character haven't touched him with a ten foot pole speaks volumes.

Plaxico. That name is better suited for a magical horse than a man.

He's a veteran because he's been in the league ten years, that should be blatantly obvious. What does his crime have to do with the years he spent in the league genius level? And like you pointed out, he spent time in jail, which means he did his time. He managed to tie his career high in TD in a single game last season. But hey, he should have come out of jail in prime football shape, right?

Oh and one more thing that is pretty obvious but you seem to be missing isn't a question of his skill, it is the amount of money he is asking for. And that can always be negotiated.

Guys like Payton Manning and Champ Bailey are veterans. See any difference there? Time served just makes you an excon not a leader or an expert in your craft.

The fact he had a decent year, in fact a great year for someone out of football for two years, and he is in better shape than he was last year and still the only offers he's getting are league minimum with no guarantees doesn't tell you anything?

He's bound to have more plaxidents.

The dude has played 10 years in the NFL, he's a veteran whether you want to admit it or not. And just because you went to jail doesn't mean you aren't an expert at your chosen profession.

The fact that the Broncos have exactly two players who have more than 5 years experience out of the 10 or 12 on the roster mean they could use someone who has played a little bit. And since the league minimum for a 10 year VETERAN is less than a million, they could do the exact same thing that Seattle is doing.

Broncos would be a solid choice. Fill the contract with penalties for detrimental off field behavior and release him at the first sign of trouble. Denver is woefully short at WR. Champ Bailey is wanting to retire, another veteran wouldn't hurt.

It tells you that most rosters are set and NFL teams are extremely conservative when it comes to offering contracts to guys with even the slightest perception of damaged goods?

I would love to have him on the Vikes, We need a WR badly. I'm not sold on the Arkansas duo.

Andy Reid will hire him.

He might actually be a good fit for the Eagles. One thing they lack is a big target at WR. Jackson and Maclin are both small, fast receivers, and their size makes them vulnerable on crossing routes. Burress is a big target who could effectively run the slant and crossing routes out of a three-wide set.

/Assuming he can still play
