You first. Tell us what 0bama is going to do to improve the financial situation. He is the incumbent, he has been at it for 3.5 years and we are STILL sitting here with 8.3% unemployment....far worse if you include the people who have given up looking.

Then tell us why the tax plan Romney supports overwhelmingly favors the wealthiest Americans when Trickle-Down Economics have been an utter failure for this country.

You first. Tell me how many jobs 0bama's tax plan will create and how? By his own admission, he couldn't create shovel ready jobs when he spent billions. Cash for clunkers was a nothing and the Summer of Recovery didn't work either.

When you clowns can do that, I might actually consider your opinions on the election.

0bama can't run on his record nor explain what HE is going to do (remember, he admitted he hasn't been able to communicate his plans). So the only thing he can do is whine about Romney's taxes from years ago.

He's not 'some guy'. He's trying to be president running, partly, on the idea that the wealthy pay too much in taxes. Considering it is traditional for presidential candidates to release a number of years of returns along with a major plank of his platform, I'd say his returns are very relevant and his refusal to release them is very suspicious.

The thing is, it isn't so much about what's on the tax returns as it is his reluctance to release them in spite of him, in previous elections, demanding his opponents release theirs. He is demanding special treatment, and expecting that the rules he sets for others will not have to be followed by himself. It's hypocrisy, plain and simple. And for something as irrelevant as tax returns - we know he's rich, we know he's got tax shelters, we know he paid an immorally low amount even if he didn't break any laws - it's just curious.

Obama released his birth certificate - an unprecedented request that was a result of sheer insanity and bigotry. Romney should release his tax returns, not because we want to boo him for paying so little, but because his not doing so showcases how much of a gigantic hypocrite he is.

In 2002 Romney refused to release his taxes before running for Governor of MA. When his opponents accused him of gaming his taxes so that his residency would include MA, both he and his campaign denied and denied it. "Trust us" they said. "We're not releasing the tax returns, but trust me, my residency is MA." Top aide Eric Fehrnstrom said over and over, "You're just going to have to take our word for it," while refusing to disclose any proof.

And guess what? Romney was eventually forced to disclose his residency, and it was discovered that he had retroactively updated his residency to include MA. They were caught in a lie, and before they were caught they a) insisted they were telling the truth, and b) told us that we would just have to take their word.

Sooo..... why should we ever "take his word" about his taxes again? Concerning his taxes, Romney has proven himself to be liar in the past.

Kome: Romney should release his tax returns, not because we want to boo him for paying so little, but because his not doing so showcases how much of a gigantic hypocrite he is.

How much he paid is also relevant to his views on taxation in general. He wants to give more tax breaks to millionaires... if his returns show that he paid an effective rate less than the rates paid by those in the middle class, it speaks very directly to his views on taxation in general. I don't want a guy who pays a lower effective tax rate than me trying to tell me that the rich pay too much in taxes.

Yeah, I know that you thought it was nuanced, but it wasn't.

Is it not a fair question to ask "Mr. Romney, you want to be the leader of the free world, but we don't even know what your finances look like. You could have evaded taxes and done illegal things. Why is it too much to ask to see that you haven't done these things?"

And since the economy is improving, but not at the rate you wished, you can call it a distraction or you can admit that you're just shilling for a dude who hasn't shown how he'd do any better. Don't you look foolish for doing that, eh?
