Turned the game off when it was tied and a runner on third in the 9th. Just couldn't stand to watch. Come on Clippard, throw a fast ball for crying out loud.

It took 19 years but it looks as though Pittsburgh finally passed the torch of ineptitude.

Carry it proudly.

Take heart Astros fans! The Nats are only two years removed from play of this caliber.

I can take solace in the fact that at least it wasn't the Mets.

Sweet merciful crap, there were at least two errors on that play.

1. Fielding error? Might not be considered or scored that way. Should be.
2. Throwing error.
3. Whar Right Fielder? Whar? He was still at no doubles depth even after the fielders collided. Not considered an error, but holy craptastic
4. Throwing error again?

well thing is, that particular play was all on one guy (Fark favorite Nyjer Morgan)

This thing the AAstros did.. that was a team effort.

I know they've traded off or released just about all the talent that club had, but man, this is just ridiculous. Don't they have anybody who can play baseball in Houston, or somewhere in the minors? These are the kind of guys I'd expect to see playing indy ball after they threw out their arm in college and lost their scholarships.

Good teams win the dirty ones. Bad teams...do this.

// seems like every Nats pitcher has had one really bad outing this month

It aint easy losing 31 of your last 35 games, sometimes you need unique efforts like this one.

Don't be a rule-fetishist. The vid's caption makes clear it was errors; give subby some credit for having probably read that. Suzuki ended up on third; that's all it's meant to convey.

Don't you know that the other teams and players look at the schedule, see the "Stros coming up and jump for joy? Chances to increase batting averages, lower ERAs, move up in the standings etc. They are a minor league team playing in major league parks.

I, for one, can't wait to see my Blue Jays start playing the Astros at least 6 times a year starting next season.
