when i was a lad i had a sticky fingered friend. one day at a large department store he got popped by the store dick, a lady in her early twenties. it was painfully obvious Pete had a 8 track tape in the front of his too-tight jeans.

she tried for over an hour to get him to admit to stealing and he wouldn't budge. evidently she had very little life experience with reaching out and touching someone - she didn't make him unbuckle or unzip to expose the concealed 8 track.

after 1 1/2 hr she gave up and let him walk out with the stolen goods still in his pants. hopefully she went into a different line of work.
