Classic Scully! The best part is Vin's opinion about instant replay afterward. He nailed it.

I love Vin Scully.

I hate the fact that he's only on through the third inning on radio. :(

As a Padres fan that really dislikes the Dodgers I will admit that I always watch the Dodgers feed when they play each other. Scully is a rare treat and makes every type of game entertaining and a pleasure to watch. And I'll second his comments on the replay. It's time to catch up with technology and, more importantly, other major sports.

Ok here's my question of the day. What can the manager be saying for four minutes to the ump? All he has to say is "he caught the ball, how can you miss that? " what exactly is said in conversations like this? Obviously lots of swearing, but I'm genuinely curious. I really wish these arguments were miked up with a delay so we can hear the conversations, for all sports. It genuinely interests me

I think it was a year or two ago but they had a text survey about whether the All-Star game should decide home field. After Vin announced the results on the air (favoring the way it's done now) Vin Scully looked dead in the camera and as politically as possible said everyone who voted yes was an idiot.

Here it is: Link

Watched it live last night and just couldn't stop laughing. Manager obviously - That's Farking Horseshiat. Scully - That's blinkin' fertilizer.

It'd be nice if the ESPN and the big Fox let him call the nationally televised games. The man is a legend.

Vin doesn't travel much any more so any nationally televised games would have to be ones in California or Arizona. It's been a long while since he's done national TV games (back when NBC had Saturday baseball is the last time I remember him doing it).

Thing I love about Vin Scully's broadcasts these days is no color man. Just him and the audience taking in the game together.

One of the things I miss most about Cali. Vin is a treasure. Just one more World Series would be nice. Instead we get Joe Effing Buck and Tim McDoucher.

To be fair, Joe Buck has said he would be happy to step aside & let Vin call a World Series game.

I think he's asking the ump if he wants to go to Fuddrucker's. The ump doesn't seem to like Fuddrucker's and thinks he should to go Fuddrucker's by himself.
