Yes, there are needful things that should happen on Earth. But there's something marvelous about looking up together. It certainly beats watching John Carter.

Look how clever I am, mommy!

Gail Carter's Facebook page just surpassed 100,000 views.

"If we can ship something the size of an SUV, nuclear-powered and full of lasers, to another planet, then surely we can figure out what to do about the debt ceiling and healthcare. You would think."

We already have figured it out. It's just that ..... well, not gonna get into it here.

Otherwise, congratulations to the men & women who made "Curiosity" possible. I like successful landings on any heavenly orb, manned or not. I look forward to the slide show.

Yes, but can Curiosity fit into a pair of male skinny jeans and bum some Parliament Lights or American Spirits off a complete stranger?

Actually, the solution was the same: we are going to send all our debtors on a one way trip to mars.

I don't know, but I want to stab someone in the eye for it. I just wasted brain cells on that.

Meaning they don't move up and down? No, they are on a suspension and the wheels can move something like 25 inches, I believe.

Perhaps if he had read any of the John Carter books , this douche would have enjoyed the movie more.

I was thinking in terms of my prior background - air traffic control. We have fixed gear (which are usually welded into place and don't have a lot of movement) and retractable gear aircraft.

I wasn't thinking in terms of bicycles, but now I learned something new.

I bet the bands that Curiosity likes are so obscure they only played in its backyard.
