1) Create message that you're right and all others are wrong.
2) Act all patriotic-y.
3) Attach condition to message that if you disagree, you're not patriotic.
4) Repeat ad nauseum.

The Dems haven't found a message that relates to the masses and at the same time paints those who disagree as being in direct contradiction with the 'founding principles' of this country. It's not that one is right and the other is wrong, the dems just haven't figured out how to beat the 'right is right' message.

It's not about the candidate. If it was, Romney would lose badly; he's a horrible candidate. How can someone get elected President, even threaten to when they are as aloof, disconnected and uninspiring as Romney is?

odinsposse: See, Romney is actually worse. Imagine a man falls down in the street. Let's say, for the sake of argument, that a liberal's political philosophy means he would offer to help the guy up. Let's also say, for the sake of argument, that Cantor's repugnant political philosophy means he would kick the guy as he walked past. While pulling, as the man was halfway up, he'd suddenly let go, and allow the man to lose his balance and fall backwards on his ass, and possibly strike the back of his head on the pavement.
