I remember studying perpetual motion machines way back in elementary school. It was part of those basic math games on the old beige Apple computers. At the start screen, you select the "Perpetual Motion Machine" mode. Then the quiz starts.

If you have 10 apples, and you eat 5 apples, the answer is C) you have 37 trillion apples left over, without adding any apples from other sources.

Dead for Tax Reasons: 'Perpetual Motion Machine(PMM) Generator'

so it generates perpetual motion machines?

/in this country we obey the laws of thermodynamics!

I invented a perpetual inertia machine. When it's in motion, it is absolutely guaranteed to remain in motion forever, and when it's at rest, it's guaranteed to stay at rest.

Warranty void if acted upon by an outside force. Your mileage may vary.
Prior performance does not guarantee future results. Paid endorser. Side effects may
include dizziness, nausea, vomiting, and in extreme cases, spontaneous human combustion.
There is no sanity clause. Do not taunt perpetual inertia machine.

"The law that entropy always increases, holds, I think, the supreme position among the laws of Nature. If someone points out to you that your pet theory of the universe is in disagreement with Maxwell's equations - then so much the worse for Maxwell's equations. If it is found to be contradicted by observation - well, these experimentalists do bungle things sometimes. But if your theory is found to be against the second law of thermodynamics I can give you no hope; there is nothing for it but to collapse in deepest humiliation."

- Sir Arthur Stanley Eddington, The Nature of the Physical World (1927)

Other than finding a way to eliminate friction and a 0 Ohm superconductor, it is pretty easy to build one.

The search for a perpetual motion machine has been in motion since it began. It will stay in motion.

Press conference, not a paper? Yeah, that's a sign of real science right there.

Useless article is useless if we can't even laugh at the stupidity of the design.

This is bad news... For Obama

If Romney's campaign was just a little stronger we could bring back this awesome meme. But unfortunately, there just really isn't anything yet that is bad news, not even remotely. This whole campaign has been like: Romney kicks puppy, Romney pisses off all foreign nations, Romney doesn't pay taxes. Where is the bad news... for Obama?

"As an amateur scientist and self-financed effort, I have worked on a wide variety of subjects such as unconventional sources of energy, advanced physics and perpetual motion machine," he said."

Seems legit.

We don't even need a godamn perpetual motion machine, even if it was possible. We need a reliable and efficient energy source that harnesses the might-as-well-be-limitless sources all around us. Efficient solar would be a start.

My problem is when people take the "perpetual motion is a pipedream, therefore BURN MOAR FOSSULZ" types pop up. There is so much unharnessed energy out their that the ultimate goal of said pipedream (cheap and EFFECTIVELY unlimited energy) could be achieved without the snake oil garbage. Which is a frightening concept to existing profiteers.

If something like this was ever invented it would have to be released into the public domain immediately otherwise the inventor would have an unfortunate accident and their house would be robbed then burned down mysteriously.

I'm not a big tinfoil hatter, but google stuff about the car that runs on water and what happened to that guy.

2012-08-06 08:25:48 PM
Ah, so now India has a large enough pool of upper-middle class suckers the old frauds can be run anew.

I don't think the word "perpetual" works in Western Europe of North America anymore. You need to find other words that sound like good things, like green or renewable.

I wonder what the Indian version of Moller is going to look like.

If you think that there ever was a car that ran on water then there's some foil up there somewhere.

I'm surprised this went green. How can we lambast these free energy nuts after taking their money in the form of advertising? Or maybe this article is just further advertisement? (After all, there's no such thing as bad publicity.)

I've been seeing these advertisements on Fark everyday for the last month or so.
Here's their latest:
i769.photobucket.com

They must have gotten a lot of hard questions about their old advertisement, so they spruced it up a little to make it look more futuristic.

Here's the old one:

Yeah, that's just an electric motor like you would find in any RC car. Anyone can buy them for like $4.
The only way an energy company is scared of that is if someone uses it to fly an RC plane over their property and grab photographic evidence of all their improper waste-handling.

Depends where he is in India. If I'm not mistaken it is the wet season there, and those perpetual motion machines don't work in 100% humidity.

There was an Indian restaurant near my office that gave my bowels perpetual motion.
The only way to stop them moving was to stop eating there.
But I wasn't going to do anything that drastic, because Indian food farking rocks.

Perhaps, and I do believe that not everything is always as it seems, but do you think that if someone came up with a cheap renewable energy source that was non-polluting they wouldn't meet an untimely death? There's too much money involved.

2012-08-07 12:37:14 AM
ok, listen, I haven't read all your comments, but as a guy who designs and invents things everyday I would like to point out two things that stood out to me:
The generator I have invented can give a net output of electrical power in desired AC/DC form without usage of any of the conventional fuels
and

I have worked in the field of automobile engineering, instrumentation, steam engineering and industrial robotic

to me that means odds are his fuel source isn't a conventional fuel source, possibly a by product of burning off coal or something, and odds are it involves steam.

but that's just my two cents

Stanley Meyer I assume you're talking about, and he spent about twenty years claiming it worked, getting sued for fraud (and losing), and never showing it worked at all. He died of an aneurysm at 57. What's untimely about that?

Take off the tinfoil and ask how he violated the first and second law of thermodynamics, did so for 20 years, never proved it worked, and yet is still credible in any way?
