That's right, Zuckerberg, you and the oversold web site you rode in on.

2012-08-06 12:14:49 PM
so he has about $150M in cash and other liquid assets? then to me, he's not even a billionaire.. what good is all that "money" if it's not even worth the paper it's written on? If he sold all those shares then wouldn't the value of all those shares crumble?

\i'd be plenty set with $150M.

Dude has more than 40 years to grow his $10BB. More than can be said for the 60-something and 70-something billionaires on that list. At 7.5% interest, even if he doesn't hit the motherlode again, he'll have hundreds of billions of dollars before he reaches retirement age.

Somehow I suspect he won't be missing any meals to make the bills.

Hell, I'd never have to work again for $4M, $10M and I'd live like a king for the rest of my days.

Well if stories of his arrogance were true, I'm sure there still might be some hand slapping for his supposed demand the valuation of the company be $100Bn from the beginning.

He's a twerp who's already incredibly weathly, I truly hope FB stock crashes and burns more than it already has.

What a joke.

There is nothing any of these guys does that earns them billions of dollars.

This talks about the EPA stating the human life is worth about $6.9 Million.

About 15 years ago I worked for a small software company and I proposed the idea of a social network where people could get into touch with people they knew from high school, had the pseudo-code written and everything, was laughed out of the room. Someone else did it and made tens of billions of dollars. I don't care, good for him. He found the right people to work with. I would have found software development to be boring anyway. I found another line of work that I like much better anyway.

Guys like Romney however, who were borm multimillionaires and became multi-multi-millionaires by destroying American jobs and then runs a Presidential campaign by bleating on about American jobs, that kind of farking annoys me.

Well this Shortlist article was a little slow on the jump, 2 days late? I posted a link to a better article about this in a different facebook thread when there was all the talk about duplicate users and/or fake accounts running amok and the stock started taking a nose dive.

For those interested is seeing what the outlook is for FB, check out this Article ... heh heh it doesn't look good.

I didn't say it wasn't something, it said no one involved in a company like Facebook does enough to earn billions.

When Google went public, I heard plenty of grumblings in Silicon Valley that those early employees earned and deserved their tens of millions of dollars. No, you didn't. You worked just as hard as thousands of other IT drones in the valley, and you were lucky enough to be in the right place at the right time. Good for you. But you didn't earn it.
