From the letter:
I have read your rantings and ravings over the past several months and frankly they show how ill-informed you are about civic affairs and politics. Let us do a little math: The Governor is a Democrat (in part because of you).

Fear not. Paladino is a punchline. I don't think anybody east of Rochester will talk to him any more.

But keep those bats and sticks handy if you're around Albany in case Senator Kevin Parker is in one of his moods.

I am embarrassed that I voted for you in the primary and general election in 2010.

No you aren't. You would have voted for him again, today.

The rest of the country knew he was a horse farking maniac long before the election, but you voted for him anyway, because he's on "your" team. Eat a bag of dicks, Don Clarey. You and your friends are responsible for this.

Looking to head directly into Rochester. Company I worked for out in Arizona and Colorado and I are talking about moving me out there properly to take over a corporate foodservice concern, but the timing is odd because the fella I'd be replacing is waffling on this exit date. Will be a sweet gig, be close to my daughter, but gottverdammt the politics in the region are goofy.

I remember when Paladino was running for governor and the border of his lawn signs said "I'm mad too, Carl." It's one thing to be mad, it's another thing to base your entire candidacy/career around it.

The entire Republican party is based around being mad.

Both definitions.

The more I see of this, the more I want Kansas to fall entirely into the clutches of the Tea Party. They'll take over, enact many of the laws they want to enact, fight against the Federal Government (regardless of who is in charge of Congress, the Senate or the White House; the Feds will have to fight Kansas tooth and nail if only to ensure that the Feds can fight against laws enacted in other States that the Feds don't approve of.) and let the rest of the world see just what happens when people with the Tea Party's values are completely in charge.

It would utterly suck for the rank and file in Kansas, but it might save other states, provinces and maybe even entire nations from making the same mistakes.

Even after their defeat of 2010, the Senate RINOs chose to run scared and climb in bed with the Cuomo/Silver cabal.

Don't be fatuous, Carl.

Oh crazy Carl. Only slightly more electable than the "Rent is Too Damn High" guy.

The greatest lulz to be had would come from a liberal state offering relocation assistance to any Kansas resident who wanted to move.

You're overly optimistic. If you think they'd really fight much of anything that came through a Republican White House. They're rabid, but not on issues - they're the political version of Penn State fans. What matters is the PARTY and the IMAGE. Not the issues.

To be fair, the state GOP in 2010 was just looking for somebody to take one for the team, because there was no way Andrew Cuomo wasn't winning the governor's race. Rick Lazio was supposed to be their designated chump. It's just their luck somebody showed up with a bag of money and delusions of victory.

The way elections work in New York, party hacks vote for their party no matter what, even if the candidate's name is Adolf Sandusky Stalin Dahmer Mugabe, because the 2012 election's ballots are drawn up based on the 2010 results. The team who wins gets the top row, the next row goes to the second-place finisher and so forth...and about 20 years ago, the Republicans almost did finish third in the NY governor's race and they didn't want that happening again.

This.

NY Republican leader to Teabagger: "please crawl back into your clown car and drive it back into the hole you came out of"

And, emphatically, THAT! The Teabaggers may, just may, find friends in the boondocks of upstate New York..but they can stay there or just farking move the hell out of NYS.

Don't want the derp staining this state, we already got the doofus Tammany Hall-ists to deal with already.

Excellent. May the GOP fold in on itself within the next two decades. The New Whig party, only held together by its irrational hatred of the "radical" (snort) Obama.

Wait until Obama's done with his second term. The 2016 elections are going to be a LAFF RIOT, even more hilarious than this year.

The guy's reply, where he says "We control 1/3 of the seats, we can veto anything" shows how this asshole lacks any desire to do anything constructive. He' just wants the party to sit there and rant, rail, and filibuster. As opposed to working to improve the place. The purpose is to governor, not be obstructionist.

imontheinternet: What does he mean by "three people in a room" are all that's needed to pass laws? Are there three main lobbies that control everything?

It's the governor (Cuomo), the head of the assembly (Shelly Silver (D-Manhattan)) and the head of the senate (Dean Skelos (R-Lawn Guyland)).

They go into a room, decide what's going to be what, and their legislators better not biatch about it if they want any road work done in their districts. (The heads of the assembly and senate have major juice.)

It used to take forever and the budget would usually run two or three months late, passing temporary measures to pay the bills, until David Paterson - nowhere as much of a doofus as he appeared to be - figured out he could stuff his whole budget proposal into the temporary measures. That got the other two men in the room to come around pretty quick.

So now it's basically whatever the governor says, that's going to be the budget.

It refers to the Governor, Assembly Speaker (Democrat), and Senate Majority Leader (Republican) needing to be in agreement. Basically, nothing reaches the floor of either house of the legislature unless the leadership in that house approves; the leadership won't approve unless it's almost guaranteed to become law; it's only guaranteed to become law if those 3 people are all on the same page.

The horse-farking (emails) part came first, the maniac part took somewhat longer to manifest itself in full. New York politics is loaded with maniacs. It takes a lot of bringing the crazy to make a splash in New York...but damned if our Carl didn't manage it!

For anyone that did not read Carl's reply to the email. He has this gem in his next rant.

I don't think that sentence means what he thinks it means.

1) Denounce Teabagger.
"Can you believe that this guy wants Abcdef?!"
2)Gain notoriety for said denouncement.
"I was just responding with common sense."
3) Continue to push for same policies as denouced Teabagger.
"He wanted Abcdef, while I simply want Abcde!"
4) Re-election.
"The people have truly proved that the Moderate Republican is not dead and is still in demand!"

Call me when they actually figure out that what they want is functionally retarded in regards to a successful modern civilization instead of being the 95% insane alternative to the 100% complete insanity.

Yep.

But I differ with you about him not being embarrassed. Many conservatives will vote for retards like that. Embarrassement doesn't make a whole lot of difference to them. If it did they wouldn't have voted for George "I know it's hard to put food on your family" Bush.

Ah, no. If Bush (or any other Republican) were to adhere to Obama's policies, the righties would love it. Because they aren't against these things because of logic. It's just that Obama's a Democrat. Wrong team. They no longer belong to Team America. They belong to Team Republicans.

/Also Obama is blah.
