As far as this controversy goes, who farking cares what her hair looks like? It's not a part of the gymnastics performance, and if it's what she is most comfortable performing in , then the only ones who should be able to call her out are her peers or superiors. Other people who have won Gold at that young of an age, and I'm not hearing from any of them.

No, not really. She performed the best at this competition though. No other vaulter could have won a medal by landing on their ass. The amrerican chick has been rather universally regarded as the best for a while but she had a bad vault and lost this competition. It happens. Bolt could have lost the 100m and not lost his standing as fastest dude. One competition is just one competition.

No shiat, she FELL and the Romanians were still watching for the score before celebrating. Her level of difficulty is that much higher than what everyone else was doing. Typically a fall when you have 2 passes means you don't even rate a participation ribbon much less a medal.

I don't get it at all. When I saw her, I thought she looked like all the other gymnasts who mostly pull their hair back. It didn't (and still doesn't) look bad or different at all to me. I don't get the complaints one iota.
