Geez. He had a bad start, and *STILL* managed to beat everyone.

And there goes Bolt. I'm pretty sure he ran his celebration 100 meters faster than any of us could ever hope to do.

Bubblegum Tate: I've got to hand it to her, going with the "I'm going to murder everyone here" death stare instead of bursting into tears. Color me impressed/scared

Maroney is a badass. Imagine if she had decided to do tae kwon do or something.

She seems like the kind of girl that has four rather unruly older brothers.

Good for him. Still an attention whore.

All the camera guys ducking down with Bolt! Hah!

I swear, he's too much fun to be legal.

I'd be kind of pissed if I had to wear a Members Only jacket in 2012.

So, given how fast people can run the 2 and 400 meters, has anyone tried putting any sort of banking on the turns? As much as people lean in those turns at times, would it be a help or hindrance?

Random whiskey induced thought.

There was this one guy in Beijing. Ara Abrahamsen of Sweden won bronze in Greco-Roman wrestling. Refused it, threw it to the ground, walked out of the medal ceremony and everything. Later, he changed his mind and wanted it back.

That's when he found out that when you refuse your medal, you refuse it for keeps.

it's really a shame he got that dq at worlds. If he didn't have to worry about his starts, he could probably hit 9.5. Either way 9.63 is amazing

This explains why I love those jackets so much. I will go in the corner with my 80's shame and have some Ragu.

I get more of a driven super-biatch feel. A precious snowflake would cry all night and tell all her frenemies about how it was the judges fault.

Maroney is going to spend the night planning her next meet. Or possibly killing a dog.

"Now what was in the bottle?"

"The bottle was empty."

"Well, why is that? Why do you think?"

"I drank the soda. There was soda in it."

*Cue dramatic music; re-enactment of a shadowy man drinking a soda.*

"...the soda was flat, though."

"Would...would you like some Ragu?"

I know you're being sarcastic, but seeing as how they showed the Women's triple jump in about 3 minutes earlier, I would have liked to have seen the Men's hammer throw final
