Is it just me, or is Teddy Atlas doing a bad job of hiding his lack of enthusiasm for Women's Boxing?

The weather here is miserable! Even by poor local standards.

Virtuoso80: Is it just me, or is Teddy Atlas doing a bad job of hiding his lack of enthusiasm for Women's Boxing?

He's been running on fumes the last couple days. The guy has to provide commentary for every single bout, once you get to 90 in about 4 days, even he has nothing to say.

Federer/Murray about to start.

Will Murray be British or Scottish when the match ends?

London relatively mediterranean. I'm thinking of swapping my bicycle for a pedalo.

Dalton is on the floor

Personally, I can't wait for the wrestling. I'm hoping the Steel Cage Battle Royale lives up to the hype.

Someone brought a baby to a tennis final???? DIAF

Does Murray know he's allowed to get a first serve in?

2012-08-05 09:24:26 AM
Wow. Murray survives two break points and comes back to win the first game. .

2012-08-05 09:24:27 AM

The Bestest: who brings a baby to Centre Court?

Someone who should probably be shot.

You can tell this isn't Wimbledon by the way they've replaced the service speed meter with one that reads in km/h.

I loved watching the online stream of the women's marathon, they showed every finisher and the two English commentators actually knew how to cover a marathon and then when they were left with time to kill when the finishers became scattered managed to not end up sounding like idiots.

The Chilean guy in the gymnastics floor routine has a fantastic '70s porn moustache.

Nice they have Frank Fredericks, a former sprinter, handing out the medals for the women's marathon.

Did anyone else's NBC (TV) feed go out?

Hello, sailor. That'll be a fourth gold medal for Ben Ainslie, and further proof that you don't fark with Great Britain in the sitting-down sports.

Well done on understanding the accents - although they both speak Posh Geordie.

He ended up in fourth, he got extra points for the mustache alone.

The other day I was watching a race and the two leading boats were from Denmark and Norway, and I wondered if the people of Lindesfarne weren't going "Not this again...."

I really only ever watch running during the Olympics and maybe the London Marathon, and Brendan Foster has been commentating on both ever since I can remember. Consequently, I can't imagine the 10,000 metres as anything but the 10,000 mee-ahs.

I remember Cram from when I was a kid. I figured both announcers were comfortably in their 60s from how serene they sounded the whole time.

Potted bio's of all BBC London 2012 commentators.

That goes without saying. And luckily I watched the marathon online so no putting up with our broadcaster's lovely production values.

As for the superiority of British television,

It's more than just a bit superior.

Breeders man, tsk, they are worse than queers. Why wont they hide that shiat instead of bringing it out in public? Farking breeders and their spawn need to DIAF and quit bugging people with their disgusting habits in public.

If British TV were so good, why are we forced to remake all the shows we import from you?
