Inquiring minds want to know: Did the otter chink it's teeth?

For the second time this summer, a Minnesota swimmer has been attacked by an otter.

What are the chances she'd get attacked twice? They must really hate her.

"I thought it was muskies. I got bitten by muskies before,"

WTF is a muskie?

Schefers says her lifejacket helped protect her upper body, and kept her afloat, but she hasn't been able to sleep since Saturday.

"No I can't," she said. "It's just hard. The minute you close your eyes, you feel as if you're floating in the water again."

That's called being high. Put down the bong, lady.

So she's okay being bitten by a muskee? Do those teeth hurt less than they look like they would?

2012-08-05 02:22:16 AM
I was thinking that a 'muskie' was a muskrat.... but then why would it be okay to be bitten by either?

2012-08-05 02:23:43 AM
But you can't hold a whole species responsible for the behavior of a few, sick twisted individuals. For if you do, then shouldn't we blame the whole genus system? And if the whole genus system is guilty, then isn't this an indictment of God's creations in general? I put it to you, Greg - isn't this an indictment of our entire American society? Well, you can do whatever you want to us, but we're not going to sit here and listen to you badmouth the United States of America.

Gentlemen!

No shiat. I have a buddy who had to get a bunch of stitches on both sides of his hand after stupidly trying to remove a hook from the mouth of one with his bare hand and a GIS for muskie bite returns pictures of people missing digits. Not interested in being bit by either of them.

Heh!

Maybe he can get Virgil Flowers to assist him. IIRC, Virgil is fond of fishing.

Well, muskie teeth are razor sharp. I've gotten my hand sliced up by one when removing a hook from its mouth, and I didn't feel a thing. Blood just started running down my arm suddenly. Otter teeth look more like a puncturing device, so I'd bet it would hurt like hell getting bitten by them.

That bottom one looks like a small walleye more than a really small muskie.

The issue here is not whether we broke a few rules, or took a few liberties with our female party guests - we did.
