What an awesome video.

Seeing them all running in panic when an armed citizen fights back is a beautiful thing.

It's Garbage Grove...a city known as the armpit of Orange County.

That was pitiful (funny as hell too)
Maybe they should just stick to selling weed--this armed robbery thing ain't for everybody.

It's amazing how a gun toting grandma can bring us all together.

How many arms did the granma have?

Wonder if Granny missed on purpose, maybe to avoid dirtying her store. Those scum pointed the gun at the dog. At the dog.

They would have pissed themselves if the dog had barked.

Wait a second here, this isn't supposed to happen. The media says gun owners are only capable of three things. Shooting themselves, shooting a family member or leaving the gun lying around so that a kid shoots themselves or someone else. How is it possible a firearm can be used for protection. Not once but twice?

"Investigators are trying to determine if a robbery attempt at the Asian Garden Mall on Monday, where a jewelry store owner shot a suspect in the face, may be connected to Sunday's robbery."

What your stating is called "confirmation bias". This story that is linked? That's from the MEDIA you say doesn't report this type of thing. You might want to reconsider your "argument".

I realize this was a serious situation, but I have watched the video three times and laughed all three times. First, when the owner shoots and they all turn into Scooby Doo, then when they hit the door, and finally when they almost get left behind by the driver.

Hope they are all caught and spend lots of time in jail where the fellow prisoners get to see the video...

Good job, store owner!

You forgot "accidentally shooting a woman at Hooters while reloading."

WHY WAS HE RELOADING A HANDGUN IN A RESTAURANT?

This is disgusting, I can't believe we live in a county where people are allowed to defend themselves. That old broad's high capacity clip in her assault pistol should be illegal. Why does anyone NEED that, anyway? She must have a small penis.

I have a very small penis (you can't even see it), so I compensate this:

So how much street cred does shiatting your pants and falling over one another trying to get to the door give people these days?

They don't have a locked door with a buzzer? The crappy pawn shop here has an "airlock" two door thingy with a video camera. But no, guns are the answer.

Obviously, this proves that everyone should carry a loaded gun at all times. Just speaking for myself, I'm now convinced. If you're not, why do you hate America?

Seriously, though -- the video is pretty damned funny.

The "needs Yakety Sax" chorus is getting louder. Count me in.

Granny clearly owns a pair of brass balls as well.

At :45 or so I couldn't help hearing "Yakety Sax" in my head. I laughed out loud.

I saw that movie: it's called Before the Devil Knows You're Dead.

I haven't laughed so hard at robbery video as I have with this one. Once the guy couldn't figure out how to open the door you know it was going down hill after that lol. Awesome Grandma.

I don't think its entirely untrue tho.
These kinds of incidents seem to be happening more often, but the rate of them hasn't really changed as much as the prevalence of cameras.
These stories hit the news reel when its a "man bites dog" incident (old people or kids chase off crooks), and only if there's video befitting the Benny hill theme.

2012-08-05 06:53:01 AM
They were off to a bad start when they couldn't get the door open.

The video works better with Benny Hill music.

FTA: "She said she feared the suspects were going to shoot either the employees or the customer and felt she had to take action," Nightengale said. "Obviously the best thing to do is to cooperate so no one gets hurt."

Why is it obvious? Doesn't the video provide an example that it is "obvious" that protecting yourself with a firearm is just as effective in insuring no one gets hurt?

Imho, using a firearm to protect yourself is more effective than cowering in fear and hoping that a criminal, pointing a firearm at you, is a nice and friendly criminal who will not pull the trigger.

2012-08-05 07:01:59 AM
And the libs want you to believe that arming citizens is not the answer. They want you to call the police instead.

How long do you think it would have taken for the police to show up? 2 min? 5 min? 10 min?

And how long do you think it would have taken for the robbers to get what they wanted and decide to shoot the customer or one of the employees as they were leaving?

2012-08-05 07:02:36 AM
Pull....pull.....push.
Running in like children hopped up on sugar.
Granny starts to fire.
Run away like scared children.
Push...push.....pull while exiting.
Getaway vehicle starts rolling.

Heh. Made my morning.

Yes, the people on the planes that slammed into the World Trade Center probably felt similarly.
