I don't get it. What's wrong with shooting pigeons?

My favorite is Jim Thorpe playing baseball IN THE OLYMPICS of 1912! It was a demonstration sport that year and Thorpe played for the American team. Funny how he could play baseball in the Olympics yet was stripped of his medals for playing minor league ball a few years earlier. Thorpe lost his medals because of racism. He showed the leisure class, which invented the games so that their pampered kids could be sport heroes, that the best athletes where not necessarily white blue bloods.

As a result he had to be punished.

Been saying that to all my friends for the past few months, that would be the most awesome display of the type of athlete a country can produce.
