If they really want to be impressive, they should budget for the full CS6 for professionals and Maya. Photoshop is good but After Effects and Maya are better for video.

It's weird how 99% of Republicans think that America is safer as long as everyone has a handgun but they won't let Iran have nukes. They're surrounded. Look at Pakistan and India. Before they got their nuclear bombs thousands of people died in little border skirmishes and attacks. Now they've chilled the fark out and it's not b/c they've matured or something.

It's funny that you say that. I used to be completely against Iran having nuclear weapons, until I came to that same realization. I firmly believe that if every house had a firearm, burglaries and home invasions would drop dramatically. Street crime would be down if criminals knew that the average person was more likely carrying a weapon than not. Then I questioned why Iran shouldn't have their own nuclear weapons if their neighbors and Israel have their own. Israel would never attack Iran if they knew that Iran had nukes. I'm also of the opinion that the presence of nuclear weapons has kept the world's larger powers at peace simply because we could all obliterate each other and realistically, no one wants that. So, why doesn't that apply to that region?

Now, this all goes right out the window if it can ever be proven that these nations (Iran, Best Korea, etc.) are developing nuclear weapons and then selling them to the highest bidder. Then, we stop them from developing these weapons.

You only allow them to have nukes once they hace demonstarted they value their own lives as much as we value ours. Strapping bombs onto your waist (i refer to the region at this point- not Iran specifically) and wandering into crowds of non-military citizens for the purpose blowing them to bits does not help their cause at the moment.

I'm more comfortable with out any weapons being in the hands of the "death is but a doorway to Paradise" crowd- which is probably why any uber-religious group or person should beforbidden ownership of weaponry.

Yeah, and it's stupid. I know we've been trained to hate Iran since they overthrew our Shah but every Iranian I've ever met is super cool, secular and usually ridiculously attractive. I lived in Iran from 76-78. I've only met a few Iranians that i did not get along with then or even now.

The problem is the 30+years of programming going on inside of that fish bowl since. School does not teach us to hate them as a people. Our distrust is more based on the religious extremism they embraced over the freedoms they enjoyed under a Western backed goverment, and the political rhetoric of destruction that is far more pronounced than any good that has come out of that country. Your government is a representitive of your people. One thing for sure: you talk nonsense like the anihilation of Israel, crush anything that looks like opposition, and babble on about the gates of Paradise- you're bound to raise a few eyebrows in the great society of nuke holders.

That aside, most college aged people you meet tend to be untainted by politics and tend to be pretty cool no matter where they come from.

Is this the dumbest three comments ever written on Fark? Possibly.

Nuclear weapons can be detonated remotely, and can be lost or given to third parties. Like, I don't know, Hezbollah. I think Iran knows those guys pretty well. So much for your stable state vs. state MAD theory.

Except more people go to church on Sundays in Scandinavia than attend Friday prayers in mosques in Iran. They fell for a government run by religious extremists b/c the only place we allowed them to mass was in mosques. The president can barely control them (see green revolution) but lets sabre rattle, attack their neighbors and talk a bunch of violent shiat about turning them into a glass parking lot. That never makes people cling to guns and religion. And the Shah and life under him sucked for a lot of Iranians.

But things sucked worse with 50% of the population driven out of the more prestigious jobs and back under the shadori (burkah). There was also a shift of power to 'the supporters of the revolution" so many others lost positions of power for no other reason other than political philosophy. I wouldn't exactly call this an improvement.

Currently Iran is internally at war with itself in so many ways: youth seeking to embrace western culture while retaining religious values, a puppet president who moves without the aid of the strings that the clerics have placed on it. Under normal conditions, i would be a little kindlier toward this nation i called home for two years. If not for the total nutjob who would rather pull the plug on an entire nation rather than let it fall into the hands of western civilization, I'm not at all that equitable about handing over the keys to nuclear energy at the moment.

When has Iran ever proposed the "annihilation" (as in nuclear-destruction-kill-all-Jews) of Israel? (which is what you're impyling, of course)

Direct quote, please.

clowncar on fire: ...only then will I say no to Israeli nuclear ownership.

Oh, you can say "no" all you like. You think these paranoid trigger-happy farks will give up their "Samson Option"?

Israel has no "friends", just enemies it hasn't show its true face yet.

clowncar on fire: Noone has even suggested that Iran not be able to defend itself from an Israeli invasion, so this is just a load of bunk.

So if Romney gets elected, or Obama caves and assists Israel in attacking Iran, you'll be okay with Iran responding by shooting down their (our) aircraft, firing on our vessels and bases etc?

Because that is what Izzy wants: To attack Iran - and the ONLY "threats" Iran has made are threats of RETALIATION.

I should've said "like 99%" because every Republican I've talked to who owns a gun has given me a variation of the old "An armed society is a polite society" or they get crazy and fantasize that they could've stopped Sideshow Bob with one bullet. They point to the crime rates that show towns such as the one I grew up in that have laws that every homeowner must also own a gun have lower murder rates. And hell, I think they're right.

Our bombing tends to a bit more descriminant and purposeful. Our occupation is a result of their inability to control the really bad apples that have embedded themselves there. Yeah I know: collateral damage, yada, yada.

Apologies between nations are often handled in a less public forum as people take apologies as an of wrong doing and a sign of weakness. Not being privy to who or what else may have been on that passenger plane, I can't really comment on the necessity of the action other then saying that having to take out a passenger for any reason is trully regrettable- such is the nature of war.

Okay, "justify" our invasion and occupation of Iraq.

I'm on the edge of my seat.

schubie: clowncar on fire: schubie: It's weird how 99% of Republicans think that America is safer as long as everyone has a handgun but they won't let Iran have nukes. They're surrounded. Look at Pakistan and India. Before they got their nuclear bombs thousands of people died in little border skirmishes and attacks. Now they've chilled the fark out and it's not b/c they've matured or something.

You still have the opportunity to avoid being called out as a political pundit (troll) by sharing the study that you got these figures from. If you can't find your source - that's alright. At least let me know which big box store you were able to find a paintbrush of that size.

I lean to the right and would not infringe upon your right to own a handgun. In no way do I feel that the world is a much safer place to live in as a result of your exercising this right to ownership. And

I also believe more than 1% of the republicans frequenting this site would agree with me.

Funny, there were quite a few gun owners here who explictly expressed the dangers of just any old cowboy pulling out his piece and firing away into a panicked crowd. I know a few avid shooters who also agree- guns in the wrong hands pose as much a threat as a criminal would. Some of them did state that given an opportunity to poke the bastard- with the caveat being that the shooter be away from the audience-- they probably would have given their best shot.

Hell we got farkers here who think they can do better than whoever is in charge and we tend to pay them no mind either.

How big a town did you grow up in? I live in a town of just over 3,000, and we have an incredibly low crime rate, and only 10 police officers.

Also, do you support the idea of the government requiring everyone to purchase a gun? What about being required to carry that gun? Because if everyone must own one, but most leave them in the home, then it would be pretty easy to obtain quite a few firearms by breaking into houses when people are not home and finding the guaranteed firearm.

Not for the same reasons as our goverment did but here goes: for no other reason then that he (and his regime) was a bastard towards humanity and needed to be taken out. Sucks to have a SOB representing your country. Also sucks to have political extremists attempting to fill the void beofore the war is officially declared over.

Yet we bomb the shiat out of their neighbors and occupy them for little or no reason, we don't apologize for blowing up a jet full of their vacationing families, we are terrorists with better weapons. I know that sounds trolly but if you'd been born Iranian and dealt with the west's meddling, you'd probably want to do some bombing yourself but it happens about as much as nutjobs around here shoot up their workplace.

Except we weren't at war with Iran and it was a big farking deal that HW Bush DID NOT APOLOGIZE and was sort of a dick about it. I mean apart from bombing a passenger plane full of families.

Had iraq taken more of an interest in keeping the extremist garbage out of its borders, we probably would have packed it up earlier- as we did the first time around-- and gone home.

Kennesaw "It's the law in Kennesaw" GA. About 30,000. I'm not a big fan of guns and don't want one and don't want the government telling me to have one but I do know some high school dirtbags who had a little burglary ring didn't do it in Kennesaw for fear of being shot.

Can't comment due to my lack of knowlege of the incident other than to say shooting down a passenger plane is regrettable- I won't even attempt to get into the mind of HWB as to why the plane was shot down and why no apologies were issued publically.
