Toshiro Mifune's Letter Opener: "That's just how I talk, man," he told Strauss. "You don't understand the street talk, how we talk."Unluckily for him, no one on the jury was fluent in Jive.
eraser8: I think it was, "probably at the crib, chilling."
eraser8: I think it ended pretty well, actually.Anybody stupid enough to act as his own lawyer belongs in jail./yes, I think stupidity should be a criminal offense
eraser8: /yes, I think stupidity should be a criminal offense
ExperianScaresCthulhu: It doesn't bother anyone else that our court system is such that representing one's self is discouraged?
Valiente: What's jive for "I traded your ass for a pack of smokes"?
iheartscotch: Possibly because none of the assembled people were turkeys./ what you talking bout, jive turkey?
Dogberry: Oh, and thank you Mr./Mrs. Juryperson for taking it into your own hands to amend the charges.
fusillade762: For the most part, James did aight. It seems the defendant isn't the only one who has problems with English.
Dear Jerk: They were caught minutes later after an intense pursuit through several cities. That's what I call high-speed.
cptjeff: I'm there with you. He was offered the chance to have a lawyer, didn't take it, and got himself in prison. Nobody's fault but his own, as far as I'm concerned, guilty or not. I'm a fan of people taking responsibility for their own actions, and this guy, despite just about everybody telling him just how stupid he was to do this, did it anyway. I have absolutely no sympathy.
farkityfarker: eraser8: /yes, I think stupidity should be a criminal offenseI'm going to go out on a limb here and suspect that you're far less smart than you think you are.
BigNumber12: For the most part, James did alright. But, it was obvious he was often frustrated, confused - and at times, angry particularly when he couldn't speak the legal language."That's just how I talk, man," he told Strauss. "You don't understand the street talk, how we talk."Please understand that I would like to punch you directly in the face, man. It's really frustrating, seeing just how many people admire and imitate this guy's manner of speech, even when they've been taught better. Because it's cool. Voluntary ignorance of a language, and the resulting coining of "needed" words, does not equal evolution of a language./hillbilly, valleygirl, inner-city slang and various grunts

Mitrovarr: According to the arrest form, James and two others allegedly held up a man at gunpoint as he was leaving International Brokers Realty off U.S. One and Pembroke Road October 18, 2010. The victim testified that they got away with an $1,800 watch, his cell phone and a handful of other items. The record shows the trio tried to steal the man's Mercedes but were unable to figure out how to get it in gear, and left in their own vehicle.Hoarder of wealth, meet the inevitable result of poverty. Maybe now funding the inner-city school system seems like a good idea, eh?
