Klippoklondike: lol Miller just fist-bumped Buffer

Caught that. Awesome.

2012-08-04 07:40:28 PM
10-9 Phan.

2012-08-04 07:40:42 PM
Phan can box!

2012-08-04 07:41:31 PM
Luckily for Cole Miller, Nam Phan is still Nam Phan.

10-9 Phan, but Miller will win.

2012-08-04 07:41:38 PM
10-9 Phan, he was landing that left really well

One Bad Apple: It should have continued with one fighter's eye dangling by the optic nerve ?

I meant Goldberg said "that fight was stopped too soon", meaning it was too bad about the eye poke. That's why I put technically in quotes.

But a dangling eyeball? Now THAT would be something to see!

They both look like Jr high kids fighting.. Phans hair doesn't help.

2012-08-04 07:46:30 PM
Superman punch!

2012-08-04 07:46:53 PM
20-18 Phan, though that round was a little closer

2012-08-04 07:46:58 PM
19-19

2012-08-04 07:47:15 PM
Miller fought much smarter that round.

psychicdeath99: Superman punch!

#22!

Nam 10-9, then Cole 10-9 but 2nd was close.

2012-08-04 07:47:47 PM
This is a pretty good fight

2012-08-04 07:47:57 PM
19-19, Miller did better than the highlights suggested.

2012-08-04 07:47:59 PM
19-19.

2012-08-04 07:49:53 PM
Miller has to score something significant in these last 2:30 or he'll lose.

2012-08-04 07:52:42 PM
So Cole Miller decided to forego his strength on the ground in favor of a macho kickboxing contest. Is Nam Phan a Diaz brother?

2012-08-04 07:53:07 PM
I've got it 30-27 Phan, though it was closer than the score makes it look

2012-08-04 07:53:16 PM
29-28 Miller, I wanted the short guy to pull it out.

2012-08-04 07:53:28 PM

psychicdeath99: libranoelrose: How am I doing?

No change. Last bout a no contest.

downpaymentblues: libranoelrose: How am I doing?

Still 5th.

Thanks!

Back inside now, damn shame about that eye gouge.

Nam opened the 3rd round by rocking Cole, but Cole finished strong and kind of flurried...

Man, I had the first for Nam, second for Miller slightly, but the third...I think it's for Nam.

/And that's not because it would give me a perfect Tapology pick
//Okay yes it is

2012-08-04 07:54:55 PM
Ok, good, the right guy got it. Was a really close fight though, and I still really like Miller.

2012-08-04 07:54:59 PM
SWEET

2012-08-04 07:55:05 PM
Close fight.

2012-08-04 07:56:13 PM
Thought Miller finished stronger but I won't begrudge that decision.

2012-08-04 07:57:24 PM
Where's Dana to give us the hard sell beside his twin brother Joe Rogan?

2012-08-04 07:58:46 PM
So did Miller win?

2012-08-04 07:59:03 PM

Klippoklondike: Ok, good, the right guy got it. Was a really close fight though, and I still really like Miller.

It didn't even seem that close to me, Miller was outboxed for 3 rounds and fought really stupidly.

2012-08-04 07:59:41 PM

libranoelrose: So did Miller win?

Nope.

2012-08-04 07:59:42 PM
Just saw the update.

Fark!

2012-08-04 08:01:19 PM
Darn. Had Miller by decision.

2012-08-04 08:02:08 PM
BOOGITY BOOGITY BOOGITY
LET'S GO FIGHTIN, BOYS!

2012-08-04 08:03:00 PM
Ouch. I dropped 200 places with that split decision loss.

Whar bad judges decision? WHAR?!?!?

2012-08-04 08:03:10 PM
I like this intro.

2012-08-04 08:03:45 PM
So, did Ving Rhames demand on-screen credit for that voice-over?

2012-08-04 08:05:48 PM
Ving Rhames?

2012-08-04 08:05:59 PM
Shiat, I guess it's time to start watching now. And I haven't even gone to 7-11 for "groceries". Dammit.

2012-08-04 08:06:08 PM

domino324: So, did Ving Rhames demand on-screen credit for that voice-over?

I think he passed credit to Jack Lemmon.

2012-08-04 08:06:48 PM
heh.. subjective conditions for title shot. Good jerb, Dana.

Though, at least he's paying attention to the fans. He's kinda like an anti-Vince.

Dunno if this has been covered or not (tho I gotta assume it has), Who here thinks MMA should be part of the Olympics?

I'd like to see it, but the judging would probably be as corrupt as Olympic boxing.

Been covered in the daily threads. IMO it would be too nerfed up to be MMA. An open submission grappling event like ADCC would be a better fit.

I do but NBC would suck at covering it.

I went with Swick, but it depends how much the time away hurt him, and whether he's really recovered.

Meridith viera would be cackling all through it.. and it would not be considered family friendly enough for the everyday American viewer

alright, what's with the puff pieces with reality game show production values?

2012-08-04 08:13:25 PM
Crap! Weather alert cut into coverage. Hope they wrap it up before the fight starts.

The Bestest: alright, what's with the puff pieces with reality game show production values?

It's Fox.
