They said they were moving from Steubenville, Ohio to Fort Myers, Florida. All said they were from Steubenville except one man who was from Wheeling, West Virginia.

If they had only made it to Florida they would have fit right in.

Comedy gold.

You noticed that too? My instincts told me 'attractive and successful', but their mugshots screamed 'inbreeding'.

Look at all that space on the roof!

I was in the middle of a chain-reaction car accident several years ago in Philadelphia. I think my car was third out of the seven or eight cars involved. I was the only person involved in the accident who had insurance and only one of two people who had a valid driver's license. These weren't rednecks; they were a different kind of trash. Oh, and the owner of the car that had smashed into me from behind sued me. Fun times.

According to deputies, a 911 caller told them they saw two children being beaten and then thrown into the back of a U-Haul truck at the Wal-Mart

Why am I not surprised?

Those kids sound like they're about to get a better deal. New parents, not going to move to Florida, not moving to a sauna in August.

Grandma had it hard too. We should hook her up with a rum ham.

Nope, they were true full blooded Ohioan Northerners. Too stupid to even find there way out of a wet paper bag, and Ohio.

It's people like this why I'm all for the death penalty. There are some folks who are just too stupid to live.

/Locking folks in a U-Haul in the middle of summer, that's a beheading.

Any story that combines Steubenville, Wheeling & well, anywhere in Florida is pretty much the gold standard.

Of what, I'm not sure...

Deputies say the group gave conflicting stories, but all the people claim to be related.

No kidding. In West Virginia, they practice inbreeding, in Ohio, they perfected it!

So the Florida tag may not be invoked until A) They become residents of Florida or B) they are arrested in Florida?

The children were released to the custody of the grandmother who was riding in the back of the truck.

Yes, of course, because she did such a bang-up job of raising her own kid.

You know... It really adds an essence of Americana to a story when you've got child beating, a U-Haul truck, and Wal-Mart all mentioned in the same sentence!

Good find, subby!
